crdnlsyn13 Oh My GOD what an awesome fun, gory good time! I thought early on before I actually saw the first episode, that this was going to be campy and hokey, and not going to work as it needed to. Thank You to the network for taking the chance and pushing the censorship envelope to the max on this.I love horror, and I love grindhouse/exploitation horror even more, and I worried that ScyFy was going to turn this into a really bad CGI crapfest. So glad I was wrong, I was hooked from the opening credits. This was spectacular, and I hope Hope HOPE they continue this on and make more.If you like Tarrentino, or Rodriguez, or wish that Rob Zombie could make a good movie, give this a shot, because this show is great. Colin Cunningham was PERFECT as Julien Slink. The only spoiler is, if you have this saved on your DVR, don't fast forward the commercials, there are easter eggs through out the entire hour.

James Wright There is a lot that this show gets right; it knows it's audience (hence all the 10* reviews), it balances original ideas with homage and reverence to those who went before it, and it never takes itself too seriously. These ingredients make for a fun and entertaining ride that certainly any fan of Grindhouse will love, and the casual viewer should be able to raise more than a rye smile towards as well.The only real negative when watching this show is that there are no real stakes since there are way too many fake-outs when it comes to deaths, and most characters aren't explored enough outside of the mains to really care about. In a movie like Death Race 2000 this isn't so bad since that is just a 2-hour long episode of Wacky Races, but this series tries to be more on occasion and as such could have done more with the characters it had since there was definitely potential there to do so. Also a lot of character choices don't make sense and only serve to feed the plot, sometimes even big cathartic moments are shrugged off for no real reason other than to drive on the story of the latest episode. Winks and nods aside about the nature of the show, it still could have been 'balls out' and had more consistency and depth in the character and overall narrative. (Just pointing to a big evil corporation for all the world's ills isn't exactly mind-blowing)Overall this is a really fun series and it certainly pleases those who simply want to be drenched in tits, jokes, blood and gore. Occasionally it touches on some really interesting ideas and it certainly is bold and likes to push against established narrative, however sometimes in being so full-throttle it doesn't stop to add the depth necessary to make this a timeless masterpiece of challenging entertainment, instead it is more a self-aware death scream into the void.

chrisdye-62271 o gotta say after watching a couple of episodes of this show yes it is stupid no it does not make since but it keeps you entertained some how this is full of action car chases gun fights hand to hand combat who really cares about the lack of plot when there is this much going on in the show the villain is just a special brand of evil hes a heartless jackass and completely insane but that's exactly the reason why you love him oh yea one last thing Don't LET THIS BE WATCHED BY KIDS wayyyy too much blood and constant swearing not to mention some sexual content so its rated TV ma for all the right reasons but is awesome to watch some how

o coates (olicoates) i understand the need for a flashy opening - but i was hoping for a little more fleshing out of the background rather than "watch this and hang on" story telling big sections made so little sense - perhaps a proper voice over commentary at the start might have helped .... not going to watch any more - sorry gore fans
