THE GIFTED- 71%
Well, despite the absolutely horrible cheesy acting at times, the story is set to a good start and an amazing mind-twisting ending. The CGI effects were not too bad for a first season. The screenplay was funny at times in a non-comedic way, which is not ideal. However, the story is very rich with content and everybody loves some mutant action fantasies. The story structure was good until it became great with an ending that I had been waiting for this whole show.
*SPOILERS*
Throughout the season, it was kind of frustrating to see all these mutants being so nice to the humans who are constantly trying to torture, kill, and mentally destroy them. However, that beautiful ending that left the mutants divided between the fighters and the protectors really boosted my satisfaction.

+ One nice scene every 3-4 episodes.
+ Thunderbird! No (zero!) progression in story.Repetitive throughout.Every single actor is allowed one single facial expression & mood throughout the show. And most of the time it's Angst.Painful dialog every 2nd line. Over-exposition every 3rd.No suspense whatsover.Repetitive throughout. No involvement in characters/lack of sympathy.Characters switching from overpowerfull to powerless all the time ("A dog sized spider robot? Too bad we only have one mutant who can tear apart stuff with telekinesis, one who can crush stuff with telekinesis, and one who can tear holes in space. #sad")Bad, bad editing. Especially in closeup dialog scenes: characters who are filmed from behind/over the should almost always suffer from a complete mismatch of spoken words vs. facial movement. Well, at least in that last episode I just watched.Super uninterresting and uninvolving subplots, like 'dat latino drug cartel.Repetitive throughout.Too bad :(

It is stated nearly every episode that all of the most powerful Mutants are gone, missing or left (to some place no one talks about). So the ones that are still around, if they feel the need, could rob a gas station, rearrange your bedroom furniture or be really good at sports. I get it, there are bad people in the world. But when you write a story based on extremes (mutants will destroy the world) and don't produce a single mutant that can do anything a non-mutant with explosives and a grudge can. Then your idea of world wide hatred toward a group of "neat ability" having people falls apart.I can not suspend my disbelief when the notion that someone with butterfly wings or can project images is a national threat to security simply because they're not normal. "Hey mom i can change shape." says boy. Mom says, "Well i guess i have to send you to federal prison then." INSANITY.....

Such a good idea and such horrible realization. And the further the show goes the worse it becomes. Or you simple realize more and more with every episode how dumb the characters, the dialogues and the whole story is.Nothing good can be found here. Horrible quality overall and a waste of time.
