toaddie49-255-239544 Movies are starting to let go of the media manipulations of political motivation, while yes this movie did have the awkward dance routines the rest of the story attempted to look at how the event looked like from the perspective of the people like many in the world today that are tired of political oppression and liesI would like to point out a movie mistake though, when she called home on the payphone the international code she entered at the beginning of dialing would have put her through to Afghanistan, intentional or coincidental oversight?
Sam Smith I thought the actors were superb, and the cinematography was excellent. Having seen the other three movies on the subject, this was the really the best. I can see how the Netanyhu family did not want it made, as it destroys the myth of Yoni Netanyhu, the hero (the basis of younger brother Bibi's political career).
h-kitchener What a disappointment. For some unknown and unstated reason alot of time was spent showcasing a group of dancer jumping and stirring around in chairs to some apparent Jewish song. Totally out of place and rather irritating while taking time from telling the actual story of what happened at Entebbe. The interplay between Peres and Rabin was contrived and made Rabin, a decorated former general seem weak and only concerned with retaining the office of Prime Minister. Peres was portrayed as a war hawk. Yoni Netanyahu was shown only briefly and Dora Block and her fate only mentioned in the end write-up. You won't learn anything much about the raid on Entebbe from this movie. Try the Charles Bronson one called Raid on Entebbe made many years ago.
Jaime Gonzales I guess I don't understand the need to insert dance scenes into a movie that is overtly sympathetic to terrorism. It seems that this "take" on actual events is a way for people who agree with terrorists and their methods to demonstrate to the viewer that terrorists are good people.Kill innocent men, women and children? Sure, as long as it is for a politically correct cause. Kill the terrorists who are targeting and killing your civilian population? Those people may not be so good, and people on their side probably deserve to die.Anyone who thinks that the murder of innocent persons is a good thing has a seriously disturbing mental illness.Anyone. Who thinks that. Hitler thought like this. Stalin thought like this. Pol Pot thought like this. Apparently, many in Hollywood think like this.
