Siaz Alright listen. I will tell you every little error with this movie. First off, this movie was just straight up weird. It was nowhere close to being relevant to the first movie. It starts off w Balto having trippy dreams about being chased by a raven that's constantly making obnoxious noises. He then gets woken up by Boris. And now let me tell you about him for a minute. Boris looks NOTHING like himself in the first movie. In the first movie, he looked really good. But in the second one, he looked nothing like it. His voice actor was not horrible, but you can instantly tell it's another actor. Now Balto's actor had only just a couple parts of the movie that he sounded decent. Besides those parts, his new voice was garbage. His animation was also really bad and looked nothing like the first movie. Jenna's voice actor was the worst. She was a huge part of the first movie but was hardly seen at all in the sequel AND she had a really bad voice actor .Then Balto and Boris go to this random totem pole that was never there in the first movie, but magically appeared in the sequel. Then Balto and Boris enter the town. Now the town looked NOTHING like the town in the first movie. It looked like a completely different place. Then after that, this annoying dog barks constantly in a Scottish accent telling Balto That Jenna is having the pups. When he gets to the shed, Jenna looks horrible. Her animation was very sloppy and looked like they drew her lousy. It was really bad. Then every pup gets adopted except Aleu cause she looked like a wolf. (I'd adopt a half wolf, half dog any day.) then she gets mad when Balto finally tells her she looks like a wolf after almost being shot by a hunter. She then runs away for like 4 days and gets Balto to chase after her. The mouse was annoying, the wolves Niju, and those 3 other guys look wack. They don't even look like wolves. Then they meet some psychic wolf that can become "one with the tree" and fly out of it like Casper. Then they have to jump a huge ice bridge to survive. Then Aleu feels it's her destiny to lead the pack cause she feels out of place back at home. (I understand that, but it's a little unnecessary to do that if it meant leaving everyone she loved) that's one thing that bothered me. The last time she even saw Jenna was when she was mad. Then she just tells Balto "tell her I found my home" and leaves without seeing her own mom. Jenna was probably upset about that. The spirit type story really threw me off. It didn't tie in with the first movie and the spirit story just doesn't belong in Balto. It really doesn't. Then I noticed parts when Aleu and Balto would say a whole sentence, but their mouths wouldn't coordinate with the voices. It was really bad animation. NOTHING like the original. (The first Balto was amazing 10/10) the songs were also really bad and made no sense. So in total, the animation was bad, the voices were completely different and sounded nothing like the first movie, the story was horrible, and voice coordination was off. It was just a bad movie. I give respect for the team trying to make a sequel to the amazing first Balto, but it failed miserably
Peter Santos for me no matter how this movie got away from reality of the first, it's still a very nice movie with beautiful music, what reminds me of first, the characters are cool, and the scenario is too beautiful, gives a nice continuation to Balto, showing that he becomes father, Balto has a perfect way to be a father, and deserved one more film to prove it Another thing that I loved in this film was Balto's daughter that is very well designed and has a beautiful voice, the film also has an exciting ending, it made me cry a few times with this beautiful end, Balto 2 doesn't deserve so many complaints,It's a perfect movie for children, because if I'm still in love with this movie isn't hard to some kids like too, recommends
mervclan just why Did they make a sequel to amazing movie why its just stupid I know what I am saying didn't like this sequel and as what George Carlin would say Wherever ideas are concerned Americans can be counted on to do one of two things Take a really good idea and run it completely into a ground or take a really bad idea and run it completely into the ground. And yes the story was weak and had no plot the new characters are not all that great and giving the characters new voices was stupid I usely don't mind new voice actors but the new voice actors are really lack off in this film their are better sequels like babe the pig in the city Herbie rides again and All dogs go to heaven 2 and other Disney sequels made in the 90s so please don't buy this sequel 2000 sequels are just really bad these days I give this movie a 3 out of 10 for its kind heart but yet lame and as I said again this should never of happen
Lissy71 How can anyone like this?! I bought this in the hopes that I would like it as much as the original but I thought wrong. Here are the reasons why this is awful... There is singing in this one (I like singing in animated films but the first Balto movie didn't have it. So why are they in here?) Spiritual stuff which I usually like but it doesn't belong in Balto! The original cast not returning. If you can't get them back, don't make the movie! Badly done animation including CGI effects which don't fit with the hand-drawn stuff. The new characters were awful. Aleu was the most annoying thing I have ever witnessed in a movie along with that weird singing mouse! And those wolverines are things that could be easily mistaken for weasels so knowone would take them seriously and just die with laughter. I did and so did my sister. The writer's rubbish attempt at being funny such as when Balto is leading the wolves and he says "Mush! Er..I mean..move out!". It makes me want to smack the writers and say "That is NOT funny!"It was pretty much badly written in general. I mean, how can Aleu suddenly be the one destined to lead a wolf pack? She's only lived for one year, she is not a good fighter (from what I saw in the movie anyway) and she has never lived in a wolf pack before. I thought a wolf needed those things she doesn't have in order to be alpha! And why did Balto think he was the true leader when it is said the leader is "The one who is wolf and does not know". He knows he is part wolf so what was that about? So if you love the first Balto film for being beautifully done, then don't watch this. It will ruin the first one for you!
