Reviews

Benedito Dias Rodrigues Watching this picture in 2003 l didn't pay attention carefully as usually l do,but in this second look on DVD l found it really amuzing, all characters are dumb or at least unfortunate, this comedy is a sort of screwball, driven crazy every single multi colors and odds characters.all them has their fuuny moments although all mess it's a plenty of gags and jokes quote some famous previous movies,Sonnenfeld applying a smart non stoping speed since the beginning given us no chance to sleeping, just to consider the character Puggy was out of tune!!!ResumeFirst watch: 2003 / How many: 2 / Source: Cable TV-DVD / Rating: 7
richard-764 Though it's a bit superfluous to add to the other reviews, I hadn't seen nor heard of this film until it came on TV a few weeks back. The cast is superb, the writing so funny my wife and I watched it again...Dennis Farina left us much too soon--and he's perfect in his role as usual. The doofus crooks Tom Sizemore and Johnny Knoxville are also hilarious in their stumblebum roles. I find no fault with this film; I just bought Dave Barry's novel that became "Big Trouble," though the written word won't do justice to the film's cast I'm afraid. It's very odd that such a funny film can come and go without a blip on the horizon. Same for others that turn up on TV that I've never heard of previously. This is definitely one to watch!
Robert J. Maxwell This is pretty funny. I can't go into any detail because it's been a while since I've seen it but I can describe it as a fast farce with good performances. The plot has something to do with two imported killers trying to knock off obnoxious Miami resident and debtor Stanley Tucci. The opening scene was ominous though. A Christ-like figure -- bearded, long-haired, and wearing a beatific smile while being haloed by a light behind him -- addressed the camera directly. He introduces the story, says he will now turn over the narration to someone more closely involved with the events, and tells us, "My name is Puggy. I live in a tree." I'm glad the remote was not closer than it was. It's cleverly written and nicely done in an inoffensive way. You'll probably enjoy it if you don't look for some sort of serious message behind the pratfalls and contretemps.
Sirus_the_Virus Tim Allen, Rene Russo, and pretty much the rest of Hollywood star in Big trouble. The little film that everyone hated but I loved. Big trouble is insanely hilarious. I have seen it at least a billion times. It's funny every time. There are a lot of good performances in the film but the best one is given by Stanley Tucci as Arthur Herk, who everyone is trying to kill. Tim Allen stars as Elliot Arnold, a journalist for The Miami Herald. Or he was until he smashed his bosses computer."Unless you want to keep your job, you will put something in here(The computer) before you go home". "How about I put something in there right now?" Elliot isn't the main character exactly. I suppose he is, I don't know what I was saying. He is the narrator. big trouble is the story of people living in Miami. Stanley Tucci plays Arthur Hurk, an ill tempered guy who is wanted dead. He is married to Anna(Rene Russo). You know what, there is too much that happens in Big trouble, so I am not going into it. But I will say another plot point. There is a bomb that has been sent to Russians. I am not going into anything else about the plot. The cast of Big trouble is large. It also includes Patrick Warburton(From my favorite show, Seinfeld), Jeaneane Garfulo(Romy and Michelle), Tom Sizemore(Natural born killers), Johnny Knoxville(Jackass), Dennis Farnia(Get shorty), Ben Foster, even Zooey Deschanel. I love Big trouble for the same reasons why I loved Burn after reading. Because so much happens and there is so much story. Too much story is a bit better than no story at all.
