r-angle This movie starts out bad, real bad. The set-up is way too heavy-handed. I didn't believe the sheriff was so afraid of Blackway. It almost gets to be a joke. I didn't believe that nobody in the whole town would stand up to this violent thug and bully. But about 45 minutes in, the movie hooked me and the suspense was almost unbearable. Once the three main characters were all in, I was right there with them. The violent scene in the motel was good, I thought. Well worked out and choreographed. But I wanted the tall guy to take the shotgun with him. The movie is beautifully shot and the scenery is gorgeous. Reminds me of "Wind River" which looked good, too. The character "Blackway" seems almost too violent to believe. You'd think he'd be in prison or in the ground by this point in his life. He really needs to be killed. Halfway in, I feared him and also hated him. And I feared for the three people who were trying to defend decency. So the character worked well. Overall, almost a good movie.

alliend My sister told me she'd run across thing scrolling through Netflix. I watched it first, so at least one of us was spared.It's beyond me how such a piece of hot garbage has this stellar of a cast. I was optimistic just based on the cast list and had to read over other reviews after watching it because I was sure I'd missed something. Nope.Girl is being harassed by a guy who saw her where she waitresses. She turns him down, so he stalks her, like you do. Also decapitates her cat (why?). Two complete strangers join her to track him down (why?), and he's apparently ex law enforcement who just decided he'd rather be in the drug/sex trafficking trade (again...why?). They find him. They kill him. The end.The story line is so straightforward that it ends up being boring and predictable. Throw zero character development and a complete lack of onscreen chemistry between the actors into the mix, and this is easily the worst film I've seen in recent memory.

Rickyvuylsteke I found the movie to have an interesting story line and a guessing game throughout. The worst part about this movie for me was the ending. The acting by Ray Liotta and Anthony Hopkins was antiquate but nothing to rave about. Both actors have had much better performances than what they showed in Blackway.I found the main character of this movie to be extremely unrelateable and didn't really have any redeeming qualities what so ever. Lillian (Julia Stiles) had nothing to like about her and was an extremely weak character in the movie. As a main character, Lillian was a very weak role in this movie. The character of Blackway I felt was very unrealistic and his " evilness " was nothing more than just a cop turned bad and now is into drugs and prostitution. His crimes had no purpose, he would grope and tie up women for absolute no reason and this theme appeared to be a big deal in the movie. The whole character of Blackway was weird and disturbing but the way he was portrayed was fucking stupid. The ending is the part that really got me. Throughout the movie, you see the progression of the hunt for Blackway. The ending of the movie is god awful and extremely bland. A four year old could've predicted the ending based off the first 20 minutes of the movie. They could have done so many things with the ending but they picked the most cliche and boring way to go. It ended with Blackway getting shot by Anthony Hopkins character and that's it. It ends like every other revenge move there is. At first I thought this movie had more potential than that but I was very wrong.I would recommend this movie to people who enjoy thrillers and mysteries. This movie is not hard to forget out at all but if you ignore the flaws in the script and the try hard motifs then this movie is for you. Overall its a good way to waste 1hr and a half with a mediocre movie.

jalder-57668 this movie is slow from start to finish, nothing ever develops and its a waste of good actors. almost any other movie will be better than this one. Anthony Hopkins is one of my favorite actors and I selected this film based on him. ugh. seriously? there is not much more to say about this movie -- it stinks
