Elisabeth I have to say that this is a different side of Corey Haim. From what I read, he was dating Nicole Eggert at the time of filming so that would explain the on-screen fire when the two of them were doing their thing Lol...let's just say that if you are wanting to spice up things in your relationship, this would be a good place to start Haha ;) The sex scenes are intense. All in all, I think it's a really good movie. I'm not a huge fan of Corey Feldman, but he played a good bastard in this movie. The plot was good and you didn't really see anything coming until the end. Good acting all the way around. I always enjoy the two Coreys in movies together and this was no exception.
Eddie Cantillo Blown Away(1992) Starring: Jean Leclerc, Corey Haim, Nicole Eggert, Corey Feldman, Lean Leclerc, Kathleen Robertson, Gary Farmer, Rex Hagon, and Ray Sager Directed By: Brenton Spencer Review She'll charm you. Seduce you. She might even kill you. Hello Kiddies your pal The Cupid Critic here and have you ever been so in love that you'll just kill. Well we have a picture with boring characters, a semi interesting plot and the only thing good at about it is the climax. After her mother is killed by a car bomb, a 17-year-old girl lives a reckless and decadent lifestyle. She begins having sex with a boy who works at a local ski resort. He falls in love, and she tells him of her suspicions that her strict father was responsible for her mother's death and wants him to help her out of her situation. He must decide whether she's telling the truth or using him to her own ends. The film is so boring, its plot is suppose to be a crime thriller about murder and lies. But I don't care for anyone who dies in the picture, not the girl, not the father or the mother in the beginning. It's very difficult for me to get into a murder story unless I care about those who die. The film did not achieve its goal as a romance crime thriller. The performances feel bland like butter, like no one look invested in their roles so it was very difficult for me to invest in their characters, they all acted like if they were saying their dialogue in monotone. That also contributes to poor direction, but the film is shot nice. The film doesn't come all together to well, I did enjoy the climax, the film is shot good, but with poor story and characters this thriller falls flat. I'm giving Blown Away a two out of five.
Woodyanders Nice guy Rich (a solid and likable performance by Corey Haim) falls under the irresistible spell of the cunning and seductive Megan (ably played by the delectable Nicole Eggert), a 17-year-old femme fatale who wants Rich to help her bump off her wealthy overprotective father Cy (a sturdy portrayal by Jean LeClerc). Director Brenton Spencer, working from a compact script by Robert C. Cooper, relates the involving story at a steady pace, makes neat occasional use of stylized slow motion, and delivers several sizzling soft-core sex scenes that give this picture an extra hot edge. The competent acting holds the movie together: Haim and Eggert display a strong and believable chemistry (they were an item in real life), with sound support from Corey Feldman as Rich's bitter older brother Wes, Kathleen Robertson as the smitten Darla, and Gary Farmer as pesky homicide detective Anderson. Perci Young's crisp cinematography gives the movie an attractive bright look. Paul Zaza's moody score likewise does the trick. However, it's the sweet'n'petite Eggert's copious nudity in which she bares her tight'n'tasty little body that really makes this film well worth a watch. Perfect late-night cable TV fare.
friendlybull I originally saw this masterpiece when I was very young and I still remember it quite vividly. It left a great impression on me, at least the actress did! I was a bit confused about why the mother died but it doesn't really matter. The father is a scary and obsessive man, but I would be nervous if my daughter looked like her. Also Corey Feldman does a strange bust in at the end of the movie, he is dark as usual, kinda like the lost boys. The cinematography is a bit artsy when they shoot the inside of the girls house, but it also because it is very contemporary looking. All in all it is very good if you just want to see some explosions and hot love! Again the sex scenes made me want to be older when I was young! A nice rent.
