evan-brandao This movie is a masterpiece. The fight scenes in this movie put Rocky to shame. Not only does the bodyguard deliver epic movies, his shirt gets ripped off with a hose and this boosts his fighting performance to an all new level. This if life changing fun for the whole family.
Rehmaan Fatahu Bodyguard is another typical Mass Masala Entertainer film of Salman Khan after he give his blockbuster films like Judwaa (1998), Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge (1999), Wanted (2009), Dabangg (2010) and Ready (2011). The story revolves around Lovely Singh (Salman Khan) is assigned as Divya's (Kareena Kapoor) bodyguard to protect her from goons hunting her to take revenge against her father, a kind and successful politician. Lovely is very devoted to his duties—but irritates Divya by following her everywhere. Divya and her friend Maya (Hazel Keech) call Lovely; with Divya pretending to be Chaya, a girl madly in love with Lovely, hoping this will distract him from his work. Initially hesitant, Lovely gradually starts loving the mysterious Chhaya and looks forward to her calls, but doesn't realize that it is actually Divya. Meanwhile, Lovely protects Divya on many occasions from the attacks of Ranjan Mahatre and his goons. Will Lovely and Chhaya will soon get fall in love? Will Lovely wins Diyya's heart before falling in love with her? It is what forms the rest of the story. The plus point is the actors's performances, Salman Khan as Lovely, who's bodyguard, did'a decent job in this movie. His acting was decent and not as good as his performance in Dabangg. Through his performance was not really good, he is still the Megastar. I'm a big fan of Salman Khan. Through I have watch his movies all the time, there are certain movies are good also some of his movies are bad. But anyway I loved his acting in it. There were also when he was funny and emotional, he was good. He is very good in his own part. Salman is the entertainer, we all know that. Kareena Kapoor excels as Diyya, a innocent and simple girl who is a son of a politician. Her performance is brilliant, she looks beautiful and adorable here. She perform really well in this film. Her acting is always good. Rajah Rawail as Tsunami Singh is wasted in this film, bit in the comedy scenes, he was quite hilarious. Mahesh Manjrekar is also wasted, he was overacting. Raj Babbar as Kareena's father and Sharat Saxena as Salman's boss, they both playing very good in their own parts of the film. Hazel Keech is making his debut in Bollywood, she is cute and nerdy, she also done a good job in her part. Aditya Pancholi repeats his villain act, like in every films, we have always seen him playing a negative role. He was a bit over exaggerated and decent in this one. Katrina Kaif appears in the item song " Aa Gaya Hai Dekho Bodyguard ". She was superb, she can dance. She dances well. I have no words for her, she is a brilliant dancer. The action sequences is over the top but it was good and entertaining to watch. The cinematography was very well shot and executed as you could see on the film. So now. Time for the loss, mostly, why I hate about this movie is the screenplay of the film. That was a big letdown, the screenplay was not good, there are some portions of the film, it was not smooth, so it was badly executed. The story could have done a bit better, but again, it was basic and illogical, There are some flows and portions of the film, It was draggy in every parts of the film, you felt like boring and also it is the same typical story, when the hero confronts the villain, the villain wants to kill a innocent girl and the hero is coming to save a girl and then the hero fights the villain. It's just dragging the movie even more. There are some portions, it was too dramatic at all, it doesn't make any senses and it doesn't make the movie any better. But I'm not going to tell you, who is gonna winning the fight, because I'm not going to spoil this one.. The rest of the story is that you should watch Bodyguard. The first part was good with the comedy scenes and great action sequences but the second half was quite average. But when the interval scene, when there was Salman Khan beating all the goons in the party and trying to save Kareena Kapoor. The interval fight scene was awesome. It was only the best scene of the movie. Its a commercial film, that's fine, the way it was not engaging to the audience and the way going through out, it was not well placed. But apart from that, you don't get captivated to watch the film. Even the story is basic, I don't mind its a typical and love story whenever, it has to be attracted, it has to be appealing and interested to the story and you felt engaging to the movie. The director fails miserably on that especially the story and screenplay, it doesn't go well. He fails to impress the audience. The love story too much boring and draggy, it was useless and it doesn't well placed to the movie. Its almost unnecessary and it was needed, the songs were not great, the only song i liked is the Teri Meri song and the introduction song of Salman Khan. The the two songs is actually very shot and very well placed to the movie. The title song gave us goosebumps and I felt like pumping. And the Teri Meri song was beautiful and very soulful and romantic. It was very well placed. Overall, we don't get this kind of movie every year. I think Bodyguard is probably a one time watch movie that gonna came out probably two of three years. So it's very hard to directed to narrated the story in this movie. The story should have been made a lot better.
virindra Salman Khan is playing the role of a bodyguard, in this humorless movie with stupid action scenes. He gets introduced to be a hard stone man who lets his opponents pee in their pants. How, dancing? This guy can't dance. He is no Hritik Roshan. He still is this stiff man who cannot dance and who cannot act in a mature way in the first half. The movie is filled with stupid rhyme jokes that are not funny. Like: waiter I see you later." Who wrote these lines? They are very dated. This bodyguard is wearing an earphone, why? He isn't communicating to anyone. He wears sunglasses inside, why? Salman Khan is driving in a bus to go to Kareena Kapoor. I thought this man who was running towards the bus, calling "tupperware" was Govinda. It amazes me how Bollywood can present Kareena Kapoor as a beautiful woman, when she isn't. She can act though. I was pleased to see Raj Babbar back in a movie. This man has a beautiful voice. The action sequences are not real. Salman beats a lot of guys up one by one in the disco, but after he beats up each guy, they disappear. Now it's not OK that a man from in the almost fifties falls in love with a girl who is in college or vice versa.I don't want to be all negative about this movie, so I mention one major plus: Aditya Pancholi! He's a great actor. And leaving all the jokes about Salman Khan aside, SK can play emotional and physical complicated roles very well. That's why it's a pity and a waste that he plays comedy movies and dances in songs. He should do what he's best at. He proved that in the scene where he said "I love you" to Kareena and thought he was speaking to Chaiya. Very beautiful moment, but he had to spoil it by bumping to the tree. The part of the bodyguard did not suit him, the part of this insecure man did. And that's very interesting. There is more about Salman Khan than meets the eye. Just face it and show it to us.After this park scene the movie gets mature and all together interesting. That's also the right environment for Aditya Pancholi to perform at best. What bothers me is that the similar action-scenes in old movies like Mission Kashmir or Blind Fury is much better than in this movie. And that's not good. Salman Khan already showed us he can act on a mature level in Tere Naam. If he would play in a movie without the stupid jokes, good action is not necessary, good story, mature acting, he could really amaze us, because Salman Khan is a complex actor who is not all around in acting. That sets a limit on his skills. But when he knows what his limits are and gets the best out of that, he could amaze more people than only a few he has reached so far. Don't travel the same road as JcVD, but learn from other's mistakes. As for JCvD, I really think he's making his comeback.
Avinash Patalay Undoubtedly its raining Salman Khan. It happened with Amitabh, it happened with Rajnikanth - and then they said it marks the end of the phenomena. The mass-hysteria, the madness will never occur again. With yet another 100-crore feather in his cap Salman Khan not only reigns supreme at the box-office but marks the sighting of Haley comet phenomena. No longer he needs Abhinav Kashyap, Anees Bazmee or Siddique. Audience are drawn into the cinema halls not to question the logic but to witness the sheer star power and "Bodyguard" is no different. Cinematic liberties are masked out with shirt buttons being ripped off and goons defying the laws of gravity. Kareena is gorgeous. Raj Babbar and Vidya Sinha are dependable. Rajat Rawail is the new comedian in the block (in an unwarranted comedy track, least to say appalling comedy). Asrani was a glorified extra. Aditya Pancholi, Mahesh Manjrekar and Sharat Saxena lend adequate support. Hazel Keech has a strong screen presence. In his last few outings Salman Khan has formed his camp encompassing his trusted soldiers which is yielding results.Himesh Reshammiya gets back on all his fours into the fold of his mentor. "Teri Meri" grows on you over period of time, only to prove why HR was undisputed king of the masses in his prime. The last 30-minutes will have the audience divided, they will either love it or loathe it. And yes there is tribute to famous "Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge" train sequence & "Kuch Kuch Hota Hain".PS: Don't be eating your own words a few years down the line, should you see Salman Khan doing "Rishtey mein toh hum tumhare baap lagte hain.... MIND IT".
