Christmas-Reviewer BEWARE OF FALSE REVIEWS & REVIEWERS. SOME REVIEWERS HAVE ONLY ONE REVIEW TO THEIR NAME. NOW WHEN ITS A POSITIVE REVIEW THAT TELLS ME THEY WERE INVOLVED WITH THE FILM. IF ITS A NEGATIVE REVIEW THEN THEY MIGHT HAVE A GRUDGE AGAINST THE FILM . NOW I HAVE REVIEWED OVER 200 HOLIDAY FILMS. I HAVE NO AGENDA. I AM HONEST! This is not a documentary in any shape or form. What this is however a waist of time. The makers of this documentary only used clips from films that were in public domain. The footage that feature the stars in the Hollywood Christmas Parade range in quality. I think had the filmmakers had a decent budget then we might have gotten a better documentary. This film mentions newer Christmas movies however it doesn't show one clip! It would of been so nice had the documentary examined how Hollywood portrays Christmas in films, television and the impact these images have on all of our lives. This Special is only worth watching if you can watch it for free. Otherwise save your money!
jotix100 Phillip Dye's documentary "Hollywood from Christmas" was a nice reminder of how this festive occasion was presented for all movie fans throughout the beginning of time. Mr. Dye and his collaborators present us with famous scenes from films in which Christmas is prominently showcased. There are recent films as well as old ones. The stars that appear in the many film clips range from Tim Allen to Loretta Young, so the range of stars and situations are evenly distributed. Some of the material selected for this film is familiar. Christmas has always been a happy holiday to celebrate because it brings families together in a serene and peaceful background. There is a cozy feeling watching this documentary on a cold winter night. This documentary is recommended for people that love to see the way Hollywood deals with this particular holiday.
