I get that some other Hindi comedy movies are so mindless and stupid they are not funny, but this movie is smart, exciting, and hilarious without being overly stupid. I have watched this over 5 times and it does not get old. Akshay Kumar is one of the funniest and most talented actors, and this movie includes many other famous comedy actors. A must see!!

muhidul7 This is the story of two friends (Nitin & Ram) who are lucky in love but not in wealth. Their quest for money make them kidnapping a dog. The dog ran away to its master but she was manipulated to ransom over his missing servant who appeared to be Nitin. They had to manage to get the ransom money & also keep up with their love. With a hilarious & dying effort, they made keep both ends.First, this ratings of mine may seem ridiculous. But the movie met its quota for both comedy & entertainment fantastically & also the great acting must be mentioned. I saw the movie first time & it appeared to me as normal average movies, but when I skimmed through it for the second time, it became one of my favourite movies.

Ganesh Salian (salianmoviereview) De Dana Dan directed by Priyadarshan is awful! This Comedy movie turns out to be a horror one.Seriously! You actually tend to cry not because of the jokes but because you have wasted your time and money on this movie.The only thing that made me smile in this movie was Johnny Lever.He simply is mind-blowing! Talking about the story,was there supposed to be a story? Screenplay is penned very bad.The music is below average Performances-Johnny Lever is the star of the show!Akshay Kumar is okay.Suniel Shetty is average,Katrina Kaif is fair.Sameera Reddy is bad. Asrani is plain.Chunky Pandey is decent.Paresh Rawal,Vikram Gokhale,Rajpal Yadav,Aditi Govitrikar,Shakti Kapoor,Neha Dhupia,Tinnu Anand,Manoj Joshi,Sharat Saxena and Archana Puran Singh ham.On the whole,De Dana Dan is a letdown.

sidhu-karma Expectations were High! Cult movie(Hera pheri)'s team reunited for a comedy film but with a wrong script. Priyadarshan's comedies origin from confusion. In this movie, only confusion origin from confusion. The story is of two friends who need money, whether for their girls or for something else, its confusing. They end up being in a hotel where countless events occur which leave you so much confused that you repent buying ticket. It starts well, with Akshay and Archana's sequences which lasts for about 20 minutes. After that, you just wait for a funny dialogue and it comes when Akshay and Archana reunite in late second half. One and half hour is dedicated to confusion which ideally should have generated at least couple of gags. The climax is way too stretched. The movie could have been trimmed at least for about one hour. If it was one and half hour movie, I might give it 5 or 6/10 but for two and half hour long movie which has only four or five gags, no way!!! It is waste of time, money and your brain. Better don't try to understand the story because there is no story. It is all about confusion. Performances: Akshay Kumar delivered what he did before also, although his role was restrained. Archana Singh was good. Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Johnny lever, and the brigade of other 15 or 16 actors acts but does not bring any smile.Final Verdict : Just because "leave brain at home" kind of comedies have been Super hits in past that we are facing these kind of movies. Bollywood really need to mature. Mr.Priyadarshan should take a long rest from comedies and come up with something like Hera Pheri again. If you have decided to watch, then watch the first 20 minutes and then forward rest till you see Akshay and Archana Singh together!!
