Reviews

dipeshjangir The unfateful night's chain of events leads to a massive police search headed by the stern and steely IPS Meera Deshmukh (Tabu).Tabu's acting is top-notch in multiple interrogation scenes throughout the movie with a distinct no-nonsense persona on display at all times.Ishita Dutta is remarkable in her Bollywood debut with a wide palette of emotions. Mrinal Jadhav plays the role of the innocent and adorable younger daughter splendidly, generating a few interspersed audience laughs.Rajat Kapoor has a knack for playing the upper-class, businessmen – roles and is casted perfectly as Tabu's husband. However his character is a bit monochromatic, probably due to the script.
wvriend Intelligent suspense with fine acting about a family living in a small town bullied by a corrupt policeman. When the ladies of the family are threatened and take measures, the father defends his family in a cat and mouse game with the police. No bombs and guns but lots of suspense, twists and good acting. If you like the suspense of Hitchcock than don't forget to take your time and enjoy this Indian movie.
Sanjay Agnihotri Very good story brilliantly made in a movie except one unrealistic scene where sub-inspector Gaitonde slapped the little girl Anu so hard, she fell over and after that he gave a gesture that he is going to smash her with his boot. Do any one think that even the most brutal cop of the world will do something like that? Then I thought that the director probably inherited it from the original South Indian movie stuff where overacting is not only very well accepted but appreciated. One more thing Tabu does not look like a Police Officer from any angle and the flashback started a bit dull and slow. Rest is just wonderful.
Leah M This is one of the most engrossing films I've seen in a long time. I am officially a fan of Ajay Devgan's acting. The whole cast was superb and you can't help but root for them all on the edge of your seat throughout the entire film! This is a movie that encapsulates the idea that sometimes there is no right or wrongs. Some things just are and many of us will agree that we can do damn near anything to protect the ones we love. The tension that builds from the beginning of the movie leaves your stomach in knots for the next 2 hours until the final scene. It's the closest to perfect I think I have ever seen the plot of a movie come. I also appreciated Vijay (the father's) empathy and kindness and gentleness towards his wife and his 2 daughters. He understood their emotions and catered to them, held them close and protected them without complaint. He asked what he could of them, but knew not to hold them to any expectations and that shows in such big way towards the end of the movie. Truly, a masterful piece of cinema. Vijay was a brilliant character. For an illiterate man, he has a sharp mind. His love of cinema and film is what educates him on how to handle himself throughout a very trying situation. Amazing, truly. I loved this film and I will be passing it along to my family and friends because this is a must-see!
