JokerMichel Before watching it on tv , I didn't have high expectations, but I had nothing to do so I decided to watch it What was wrong with the movie ?(No spoilers)The actors weren't good , they didn't seem to be credible . The plot wasn't well developped, the script was awful , unrealistic , unfunny. More we went further in the movie , I was realizing that the movie is pointless so I stopped watching it before it ends
Danii Disaster Well, I guess the reason I'm rating it as high as 7/10, is because I expected it to be *a lot* worse. If a movie features a failed/has-been pop singer, you know that it simply *can't* be good. Having seen one other movie with Jessica Simpson (can't even recall what it's called), I can say with absolute certainty that she is truly talentless, and *really* not funny.Actually, she is not the only one -- the acting in general was quite bad in this movie. Not the worst I've seen, but bad nevertheless. The biggest problem (aside from the acting), in my option, was lack of humour. There were a couple of semi-funny moments, but that's not enough if you're going to present your movie as comedy. The jokes were quite weak, and, well, not funny.Overall, however, it's not *that* bad. Obviously, nothing remarkable about it, but many movies in this genre are *much* worse -- they are just annoying and downright unwatchable, but this was actually mildly entertaining, which, like I said, was more than I expected, so I was pleasantly surprised -- hence the high rating.
Terryfan Employee Of The Month is just one of those comedy films that actually was fun to watch as soon as you pop it.Granted there are characters that could have been done with out and no this film will not win any rewards but it is pretty fun.Employee Of The Month follows the story of Zack (Dane Cook) and Vince (Dax Shepard) as they fight to be Employee Of The Month to try and impress Amy (Jessica Simpson). Just watching this film it gives you quite the laugh as it is full of clever and funny one liners from Zack and Vince. It also features a very good soundtrack with songs that were made for the movie.Dane Cook is really funny in this film and he show case his talents in comedy films plus Dax made that kind of villain that show how much an antagonist he is through the film. Jessica did what she could in the film. Jessica and Dane did work well together in the film. There are characters you will feel like they shouldn't be there but with Dane, Dax and Jessica in the film you can just forget about the other characters that you don't like in the film. The film story is really the selling point of course with Dane, Dax and Jessica being the main stars of the film. With a good story and laugh out moments with good one liners you should enjoy this film.I give Employee Of The Month an 8 out of 10
dinosorensen Enjoyable even if not "super original". Just well done.Shows better development of relationships in the dating scene than most movies.Did notice one hidden thing: The store manager is Glen Gary. His brother is the owner, Glen Ross. This is a tip of the hat to the movie, "Glen Gary, Glen Ross", a realistic and great movie. Notice that the brothers share the same first name but have different last names? I'd watch it again. I liked the way they treated Jessica Simpson, as someone with intelligence. She also is portrayed as a real girl, who can forgive weaknesses and appreciates growth. This is kind of like "Columbo", the series about the detective who finds the minutest of details, foiling the best laid plans of mice and men. Like "Columbo", little things thicken beyond our control and can really mess up someone's plot.
