torymenard Zack Snyder's Watchmen is an underrated movie and it is easy to see why it is loathed by some. Based on Alan Moore's hugely influential graphic novel which is incredibly multilayered just to bring the book to screen would seem an arduous task. Snyder brings his usual visual flair and the characters are given the best possible content that one can put in a feature film of a certain length. All the actors are very good and embody every character in the best way imaginable. The film is bleak and the morality of many of these "heroes" can be questioned on so many levels. Regardless of the general consensus I suggest you watch this film with an open mind and make your own judgement. This is a very good film in my opinion.
Timonboard Its genius is its simplicity that creates a most complex narrative that I still try to understand.
soccerstar92997 I wanted to love this movie so much... but it just wasn't for me. I don't know what it was, and maybe it grows on you, but it isn't a movie I will be watching again any time soon.
Master FX Master ZX Considered by many as a "Modern Classic", it's the story about a man who discovers his ex ask a service to memory erasing program which he tries to forget her, only to regretted later.Jim Carrey has even to this date an interesting career, after his nineties comedies he decided to enter into much more "intellectual" films like The Truman Show, Man on the Moon and of course this. In which he gives one of his best performances of his career, playing an introvert, lonely and melancholic character.Kate Winslet, Clementine, is the more crazy girlfriend that fills the protagonsit´s boring life with her... craziness. Not a fan of characters like her, but she works greatly on this storyline. This almost reach a sense magic realism or even surrealism, it establishes a world where unreal things like an institution that erases memories and dream-memory scenery happen without questioning. All to tell a very basic but somewhat not very common message.
