Made me cry cuz there was no happy ending, i prefer happy endings. The actors were ok, arnie's son was kind of wooden like him LOL but it's all good. Cute and would watch again.

This movie was about a 17 year old girl that was diagnosed with the RARE genetic disease known as XP (Xeroderma pigmentosum) it is the bodies inability to repair damage done to the skin from Ultraviolet rays. The girl in the movie Katie, had lived a sheltered life with her father since she was diagnosed at a extremely young age. She watched a local neighborhood boy on his way to school every morning from the safety of her UV BLOCKING WINDOWS. Seeing Charlie on his way to school was the only highlight of her days she had to look forward too, she knew him, and he didnt know she existed. She would go out at night and play the guitar at a local spot.Until one night she ran into Charlie. They sparked an interest in each other, he showed her another side of life, and she helped him get back in touch with something he lost.I LOVED THIS MOVIE. I was always into action films, and scifi. But every now and again I enjoy a good drama. I don't care what anyone says. Some people can be so critical :-/The movie brought tears to my eyes, pretty bad actually lol.It can be said that this movie is the perfect reminder of our morality, and that everyday is a gift. Life is not to be taken for granted.A must see in my opinion.

I didn't think I would like this and it did start slow but the relationship between the Dad and Katie was really nice to watch.

...but so predictable ! the basic question - if the lead actors are for director the real best choice. because something missing. the story is in balance between contemporary teenager life and fairy tale. the cliches are used in smart manner but the romance is not in best form always. for fans of romantic films is a good choice. for the others - not the best seller for the high quality stuffs. sure, it is a nice film. but it has the sin to remain only a film of the young Schwartzenegger and Bella Thorne.
