wiserender Monsters Wanted covers the subject of the hunted house industry thoroughly. I had no idea it was as big as it was on this independent level. Some aspects of this movie were based on bold decisions to make keeping the best content the top priority. One man's face is blurred out and his voice is distorted. As you watch the movie the reason for this is clear and only adds to the impact of what is going on. Some filmmakers would have cut this person out of the documentary, I am glad they did not. The most interesting thing that occurred to me was that in many ways the process of gearing up for the haunted attraction and then operating it was similar to film production. dwuksta The do co is about a bunch of young adults who invest time and money round Sept and Oct of every year to build and run a haunted house during the Halloween season.I gave it a 5 due to the suspense factor, watching these guys operate hand tools was frightening in itself, I thought the female was going to lose her hair for sure. The main guy was your garden variety knuckle head 'wannabe supervisor' that had big ideas, but a lack of personality, funds, and technical ability. There were several pathetic arguments between co-workers about nothing, which was quite entertaining. The props they tried to build were no better than what you might see at a high school performance, and hours before the first show, they still had things to finish and were stressed out.But I must say, overall, I did enjoy it, I thought the guys doing the do co did a great job, they didn't edit all the nasty, juicy bits out, and ended up making these guys look like the bunch of incapable individuals that they were. You can't help but feel sorry for them at certain times, but you also know that they are kinda their own worst enemy. If you like watching train wrecks, you'll enjoy the implosion that is 'Monsters Wanted'.

Jessica Kay I love documentaries, this one especially because I'm from Louisville & I support anything that makes Louisville more of a major city. Events like Fandom Fest (where the movie was first shown), building places like the KFC Yum center & even much smaller things like local Halloween haunted houses, all work together to create a wonderful city. Without giving anything about the movie away, it's a documentary that capture's a moment in peoples life's, where they say 'enough is enough, I'm all in". It's not scary, except for their money issue, there isn't anything haunting them or spooky ghosts in the woods. Well worth a watch, especially from people that live in LOUISVILLE. You gotta support your city, or your hurting it, by just standing around.

thiemanelectric A behind the scenes look at the haunted house industry via the experiences of a group sacrificing it all to make their dreams your nightmares.It takes a special breed to work the haunted house industry and an even more special one to invest everything into building an entire haunted park of the nature our films heroes have envisioned. I think this film was good for the real life human drama it captured and I think it was great for delivering insight into world of "haunt" families. If you enjoy a good haunted house then you should like seeing what goes into making one. I especially found the actors training and character development scenes to be both funny and creepy. A very well produced docudrama with a rocking soundtrack that has you sweating down to opening night right along with the characters. A "must see" before visiting your next haunted house.
