This movie is so incredibly horrible, it's hard to imagine the actors could have walked through the scenes and spoken their lines without throwing up their hands in disgust. (The scene with soldiers filling sandbags next to waves that are hundreds of feet high - really? Oh my.) The movie includes all the disaster flick cliches, a tragic romantic subplot, and special effects that look like they were created by 12 year olds in a middle school classroom. And plot consistency? Nonexistent. Plot holes so big you could steer the Titanic through them, sideways. Some reviewers wrote about the movie being so bad it is funny. I disagree. It's far too horrible to be the slightest bit humorous. It should be used in film schools as a case study on what not to put on the screen as intelligent entertainment.

After watching this movie on Netflix, i couldn't believe how terrible it was. Worst movie I've ever watched. I went to check the reviews to see if i was the only one... but No! There's not one review that's good about it.. what were the producers thinking about? I've enjoyed all these funny reviews more than oceans rising. All the actors careers are now over!

I never expect the script to be great in movies like this, but it was unwatchable. I love movies that incorporate physics but this movie just tosses out black holes and string theory and gives no context. I was very sad this movie was produced.

My favorite parts are when he cut the ropes loose to the boat and it looks like he's down in a swimming pool or something and manages to impossibly hold on. Also at the very end of the movie when the sandbag wall is replaced with what looks like a metal or concrete wall. Good job, really.
