Vibijithnair Passenger directed and scripted by Ranjith sankar speaks of a persons humanity. Movie has strong cast line, Sreenivasan was main cynosure of the film and Jagathy character is more of a political despot. The movie tells the life of many villagers get endanger with jagathy political power, in attempt to save them Dileep get messed up where Sreenivasan get sucked into it being a plot driven film, and how Sreenivasan with his friends makes a desperate attempt to conquer against all odds, which ended up saving many and also by revealing to the media about conspiracy held by Jagathy behind this gambling. Passenger is a good film which can be appreciate for his novelty theme. Music by Bijibal is hummable which is played as a end credits and B.G.M is good. As a débutante work Passenger may be aloof far from a perfect, but can be praise for its simplicity and moral values which it taught.+ve: ¤Script. ¤Performance. ¤Songs(ending credits) and bgm. ¤Direction was fine.Must watch for those who like thought provoking movie, at least for the message which it delivers. I would rate it 7.7/10. Verdict: Good movie!
akhilaraheem Here he is; Ranjith Shankar, a débutant director, has ability to deliver! Upon seeing the posters and lines many were confused, including myself, what genre this movie would be. You get the answer before interval; it's a well executed soft thriller. The movie keeps you edge of your seat post interval. All characters are interesting. No-nonsense. Jagathy excelled as the cool villain. Valsala Menon character as Sreenivasan's mother is well thought! There are loose ends, very minor though. But it still does the purpose. A new breed to Malayalam Cinema. We need director's like Ranjith Shankar who thinks off the usual. Watch it!
rahul_sat92 I'm gonna start by saying that this is a movie with a difference....n not just an ordinary difference...its a trend-setting difference... u can expect more like this in the coming years....In Hollywood, this maybe just another typical action movie but i have to mention that this style is new for the Indian - rather, Malayalam audience... n how did they react to this? it was definitely positive... Blending thought-provoking stuff with intelligent film-making, the talent of this director is definitely worth a mention.... this guy is different...he isn't afraid to take that risk...something which directors these days are lacking in.... the film goes at an extraordinary, rather inhuman pace that its hard for u to even look away..... n it succeeds in carrying that pace throughout the end whatsoever, to a nail biting finish....the story is basically about a common man getting caught in a web of conspiracy n sandwiched between the good and the bad n finally chooses the right path.... thats the beauty of this movie....it gives the viewers a clear-cut message....something like punk rock....There is some humor but it's mostly tongue-in-cheek...dileep n mamta fit the bill n have given satisfactory performances....jagadi, sreenivasan n nedumudi venu(though not a big part) have excelled in their roles...they've carried it out perfectly....So finally an extraordinary package of awesome film-making n excellent acting, this movie packs a punch for the viewers n doesn't disappoint.....overall i bet u a gazillion bucks that this movie is worth every paise of ur cash n every second of ur time...:)
manjodude A simple, suspenseful drama of how ordinary, average people have life-changing experiences while taking the effort & courage to help someone somewhere in distress and told in such a refreshing fashion that it's a model for those who feel that violence & lotsa masala are the only way out to keep audience in their seats. The lead character done humbly but effectively by Sreenivasan is superbly supported by Nadumudi Venu. Dileep, Mamta & Jagathy Sreekumar also make an impressive presence. No songs here but then who really wants it if the debut director Ranjith Shankar can ably leave the audience in tenterhooks until the last moment. Quite inspiring in it's message and worth watching at least once.
