I'd always liked this movie since it came out in 2016. It had some great action and visuals with good enough story and characters. But for some reason, when I rewatched it tonight (August 2018), it really struck me. I don't even know why, I just went from thinking that it was good to loving it. The movie itself doesn't do a great job setting up the characters on its own, but I've read some books surrounding this movie since. A book called Rebel Rising which was all about Jyn, and a book called Catalyst which was all about Galen, both of which were pretty good. Especially Rebel Rising. So this time with the background knowledge, all the deaths had an emotional punch to them. And that final scene with Darth Vader is still as spectacular as ever. I'll give this movie an 87%

Of course that sounds like heresy but in fact I will go one further and say that it IS the best star wars movie ever made. Followed by Empire

Tried to watch it but I couldn't everything was so predictable.

Grew up a star wars kid, age 45 , saw revenge of the Sith in a base in Iraq. I thought Rogue One was awesome. One of the first movies were i left happy even though the ending had a twist with the main characters in the film. I thought Felicity Jones was fantastic and the only Jedi in the movie was a great character!
