chiefs3182 This movie from start to finish was just bad. I decided to give it one star because there were a few points that were kind of funny (some just awkward) but enough that made me at least want to see the ending. This film had two things working against it from the beginning. The Script and 50 Cent. Even a great actor like Bruce Willis could not make this script sound fluent. There were many parts where it was just weird the way he delivered the lines. Some of the dialogue felt like it was out of an early 90's horror flick. And, 50 cent, I mean come on. At least if they had cast someone with a smidgen of acting ability, he could of tried to carry the main character and storyline a little more. But having 50 cent try to do it was laughable.I'd have to say that this move is below a B flick. I would not waste my time, but after I got halfway through and wanted to turn it off, I had already invested 40 minutes of my life.
Eric Curto I'm gonna say this right now, I was entertained by this film. Do I think this is a great film? No I do not, but I felt like it wasn't that bad either. The plot seemed a bit rushed and 50 Cent can't act for sh**, don't even know why anyone thought he could be an actor he can barely rap. Bruce Willis and Ryan Phillipe are probably the biggest reason I found myself enjoying this film, while Bruce Willis is pretty much kept at arms length for most of the film Ryan Phillipe gets a pretty good amount of screen time. Jame Remar also appears in the film and also does a good job with what he got, but I feel like there was an entire subplot taken out and all we saw the epilogue to that(the father being killed at the end). Many people on here have just sh** all over this film and while I can understand where they are coming from, I found myself entertained. I won't be adding this to my DVD Collection, but if its on I'll watch
KineticSeoul This is a straight to DVD crap and the only remotely good thing about it is that it has Bruce Willis and he plays a ruthless mob boss. The script is just really dumb and it's clear none of the writers thought things through. It's just poorly written and doesn't make much sense. 50 cent is a horrible actor and I don't know why he keeps getting roles. He is the protagonist in this and it's difficult to sit through his acting. I am not sure if it's intentional but some scenes came off more humorous than serious and intimidating. It's tries to be cool and slick but just comes off dull, corny, lame and boring. And tries to copy Guy Ritchie's trademark movies but fails miserably. This is a skip. Not even worth a rental.1/10
Kingston Hawke I normally only review movies while they are fresh in my mind, but I felt almost obligated to say how much I liked this movie to try and counter the rating that it's got. I think a lot of the hate is coming from the cast. People are mad that Willis isn't in it more, that Phillippe (who is one of the top actors period) is playing a bad guy, and that 50 Cent is in it at all. But truth be told, I liked the cast for the movie. The acting and script weren't Oscar worthy, but watching it late at night on Netflix with no expectations it actually impressed me. This movie is predictable, but so are 99% of movies to me, so that really didn't bother me as much as it seems to every one else. Other than that. If you're a fan of gritty, fun movies, you'll like. If you're wanting to see something complex and moving emotionally, you wont.
