uncritic-critic Well, I made it to see Teen Titans: Go To the Movies. My daughter had a great time with it and wanted to make sure we got it when it came out for streaming. I didn't think it was that bad and had a good time. If you're a fan of the show Teen Titans: Go, you will like the movie."Teen Titans: Go to the movies" is an PG rated 84 minute animated movie from Warner Brother Pictures. It is directed by Aaron Horvath and Peter Rida Michael. The voice talents include Greg Cipes, Scott Menville, Khary Payton, Hyden Walch and Tara Strong who all revise their characters from the "Teen Titans Go" TV cartoon. New comers Kristen Bell, Nicholas Cage and Will Arnett guest star and round out the rest of the cast. The basic plot is the Teen Titans need to find an arch nemesis to be respected by the other Super Heroes and with that get their own movie based on them.In this DC Universe animated movie, the Titans are regarded as goofs and screw-ups in the eyes of the other superheroes such as Superman, Batman, and Wonder Women. As the clowns of the superhero community they are not able to get a movie based on them and having their own movie is the sign of making it in the superhero community. Robin makes it his goal to find an arch enemy and show that Teen Titans can be taken seriously and worthy of getting there own movie, but the silliness and low maturity level of the other Titans make it virtually impossible. The Easter eggs and the cameos in this movie alone, make it a worthwhile watch. DC dove deep into their archives to pull out characters only the Hard, Hard core fans would know (I'm looking at you "Challengers of the Unknown"). They even have some Marvel Easter eggs peppered throughout the movie. The best is Nick Cage being the voice of Superman. Nicholas Cage was once slated to star as Superman many years ago, but the movie fell through just before being filmed. Cage coming back to voice Superman after all these years is gold! It felt a bit long by end, just because these characters are best enjoyed in a 22 minute format. The story probably could have been told in 22 minutes to be honest. It's a great movie to take the kids though, especially if they are fans of the TV show. Otherwise I would catch it when you can stream it for free on a streaming service. Will we be getting it before then? Yup...my daughter has already made that decision. Maybe I will revisit this blog after it plays a few times here and see how I feel about it then.
tylerward-13523 Okay before you think I'm some Teen Titans go fan boy, I'm not. I actually HATE the show. But since the trailer showed a decent looking movie with a not-so-bad story; I decided to give it a chance. This movie surprised me. It felt like they actually tried their best rather than poking fun at how everyone hates them so much. The villian of this movie, Slade, was a good villian! Some may criticize this movie for making Slade funny but, come on! You're talking about Teen Titans Go, a comedy cartoon. The songs were surprisingly memorable too! My favorite being the third song featured in this film (My Super Hero Movie). I also loved how in every song (excluding the first and last one) there was an art style switch which made the songs more enjoyable in my opinion. The ending was also great too and fairly satisfying. Also I'd like to point out that there's like 5 or 6 fart/butt jokes in this movie and the characters don't feel obnoxious. When Robin was bummed out because he couldn't have his own movie I actually felt bad for him. And also, the other Titans made a movie for Robin to make him feel better. I mean come on would you really see that in the show? I also liked the plot twist where Jade Wilson was actually Slade. It wasn't the most shocking/unexpected plot twist but it was decent. Oh, also, the action scenes in this movie are freaking amazing! Seriously! With all the beautiful backgrounds mixed with the really entertaining fights with Slade made for a really awesome movie. I recommend this movie to anyone who hates the show.Story: 8.5/10 Music: 9/10 Overall rating: 8.7/10
oscarjmaldo Teen Titans Go! To The Movies was a giant surprise when it was released in theatres. The film alone is smart, quirky, hilarious and entertaining. It's at the point where in my opinion, it should be in one of the contenders for the Best Animated Feature category for The Oscars.
wigg123-54-165754 Silliest movie ever... if you're fans of Teen Titans GO! Took my kids because they're big fans. Although I know nothing of this particular version of the Teen Titans, I mildly enjoyed it. It has a catchy soundtrack and some of the voice actors that play the actual characters on TV. My favorite line in the movie is when Cyborg says referring to Superman played by Nick Cage, "Superman? He's our National Treasure". But the best scene in the movie is the ending.
