jeffrymiranda-25858 These types of movies that play with time, time lapsing or type regression have to be carefully put together because it can lead the viewer to frustration when it taken back and forth in time. Regardless the origin of this movie, I think this movie was riddled with many pot holes which made it difficult to understand. The acting was not so bad, specially from the kids, however, the bad done make-up done to the mother to make it look older, was very cheap. I think overall, this movie does not deserve the rating it currently holds and a lesson learned is that when directos play with time lapsing in movies, they to be well-taken care of.
aysegulmelisa At first, I would like to say something about the translation of the film as an interpreter. The most suitable title of the film-also better than the original one- was translated into Turkish as "Araftaki Ev" means the house stays in limbo. Except of it, it is the first Venezualian thriller as far as I read. In spite of having a very restricted budget, these guys did totally a very good job. Montage of the film is unbelievably amazing, yet the scenario has remained a mystery for most of the people. In fact, these kind of films draw my attention more. The more you think about it and the details, the more you discover the hidden parts. Congrats Hidalgo !
Gregory Horoski Shockingly good! Intricate lovely story, which accounts for the less than stellar ratings I imagine.Like many who are mocked "for reading" in today's world, story lovers are told "you think too much." We are entering the new "dark ages" of 30 second attention spans. Truly a haunted house classic that is very believable.Sure this story requires your attention, when did taking life seriously end? While we laugh ourselves into oblivion - the heathens scorch our earth. Wait... that sounds like it could make a good screenplay/story nay, takes too much thought, after all its just life.
ten-often This should not be placed in the genre of "Horror." This is a science fiction thriller mystery. While hard sci-fi is based on believable technology, soft sci-fi is based on mysterious elements which focus on other things. Think "2001: A Space Odyssey" vs. "The Time Traveler's Wife." This isn't a good movie "considering it is a product of Venezuela." It is a great watch because it is a well directed, realistically performed entertaining sci-fi short story with no plot holes or loose ends. If you feel there is one, watch it again.Do not go into it expecting a horror film. It's better than that. It's about the mystery of what happens in this house at a time of marital trouble and childhood tragedies. What is it? Why is it there? How is it there? Find out.
