dunks388 So many police and other procedures were breached in this story-line. So little care for the original victim, Ivy, would not only breach her rights but would jeopardize any prosecution against her. For a person who supposedly spent thirteen years locked in a cellar there is no professional support shown. This is an extremely poor drama and any similarities with real life is purely coincidental.

saa419 Spoiler alert. After reading the good reviews of this movie, I am wondering if we were watching a different movie. This movie was the most annoying movie I ever saw. The characters are all unbelievable and the dialog ridiculous. The acting absurd. The main character Ivy was most annoying, I wanted to grab the words out of her mouth. The female detective, I was hoping she would be killed. The end, episode 5, I was hoping for the demise of Ivy. Idiotiotic. I wasted 5 hours watching this.

SnoopyStyle Ivy Moxam (Jodie Comer) escapes from her captor. She's 26 and has been a prisoner since being kidnapped at 13. Her family is uncertain but a DNA test confirms that she's the real Ivy. Her parents are scared to reveal their separation. Her little sister Emma is now grown with her own boyfriend. She is reunited with childhood boyfriend Tim and he's scared to reveal that he's married. Eloise feels guilty about not meeting on the faithful day. The kidnapper is identified as Mark White as he goes on the run. He kidnaps a new girl, 10 year old Phoebe. The police is desperate to find him and Phoebe but Ivy's story does not all add up.This is a 5 part BBC mini-series. Its 5 hour running time is probably a little over-extended. It doesn't really have the twists to justify the length. There are some compelling relationships but they don't go too far with them. The police investigation is lackluster. Even Ivy giving herself up to Mark White is somewhat unrealistic in its execution. Jodie Comer is a perfectly good troubled mercurial girl. Other than some of the relationships, there is a lack of sharpness to the writing. Tim is probably the most compelling but even that fades at some point.

marthagaubert I want to see the rest . these first 2 disc only left you hanging for more . I called my public library but they do not have any other ones. Please finish making these disc. This movie was wonderful . Kept you on the edge of your seat than wham it was over not telling you if the 10 year old 2 kidnapped girl is saved . I WANT MORE PLEASE ! :( My husband and I love god thrilling movies like this . We want to see if the 10 year old girl is saved by the 26 year old woman that was kidnapped by the same man for 13 years . If the 26 year old named Ivy goes to meet the man again to save the other 10 year old life we to know what happens. It is a mini series but I was told I might have to wait 1-2 years before I get to see the final part of it .That is a long time to wait to see the end of a movie !
