cricketbat Warrior is an impressive movie. It's not every day that you find a story that makes you feel conflicted about who should win. The fights are raw and realistic without being excessively violent. Plus, Warrior has as much of an emotional punch as it does actual punching. My wife and I both enjoyed this film.
wyattos-33653 It starts off slow with a little mystery about who the characters are. As time goes on in the movie everything comes to light with all the characters. The problem I had with this movie is the ending lacked and left it up for the audience to decide what happened. All in all a good movie to watch after dinner but not a party centered movie
adonis98-743-186503 The youngest son of an alcoholic former boxer returns home, where he's trained by his father for competition in a mixed martial arts tournament - a path that puts the fighter on a collision course with his estranged, older brother. Warrior is one of Joel Edgerton's and Tom Hardy's best films it's dramatic, action packed and has a very intense story that showcases love, family and the heart of men. The perfomances were terrific especially from Tom Hardy who is an actor who i don't like that much but i have to give him some credit cause he did an amazing job and the direction was also excellent and in case you want to see another film from this particular director i recommend the Ben Affleck Drama The Accountant from 2016. (A+)
Master FX Master ZX A drama made for men as they say, and yeah, pretty much. Two brothers form a broken home got into a fighting contest, while dealing with their issues.Simple story and conflict, and it is kind of predictable I not going to lie. But that is not the reason this isn´t worth a watch. The performances are all excellent and each one of the characters are motivated, this creates an interesting tension and great scenes. You just have to cheer up when each one of the brothers defeat their opponents. And I'm going into too much spoiler but the moment where Nick Nolte´s has a breakdown, want to cry you really want to.Another wonderful thing is the cinematography, each character has its own visual look, later we have a tv sport feel to it with grain, shaky cam and close-ups.But I'm not going to lie the fact that this is a male drama gives the movie some point, since there really isn't any movies like this, I guess filmmakers view melodrama as not a very "manly" genre. Although there is still a conflict with family members, I've yet to see a drama film between men who aren't blood/legal/romance related, at least in modern America.
