pepe4u22 would have given this a zero if I could..i tuned this one with my girlfriend and omg the acting was horrible and what has happened to Cameron diaz's face omg she looked awful btw her character was awful. JLo was her usual awful self outside of that George Clooney movie she made she is awful in everything. After we slaved to watch this concoction of awful with acting found in better high school plays we decided to stop watching this dreck 45 minutes in because I was afraid of being charged with a crime of crimes against humanity watching this movie. Have no idea how movie ends but I just do not care because from what I saw all the people involved should be doing time for stealing the money of those who paid to watch this and paying others for the time wasted watching this.
MissLovelyMonet . I was going to finish watching it, but I just cannot deal with Jennifer Lopez and her horrible acting... I'm sorry, I just cannot. I wanted to see the movie because I read the book quite some time ago myself (No, I am not an expecting mother, nor was I then, and I do not plan on going through such life altering developments...just yet : ]. I simply have an interest in the miracle that is child birth, and I like to remain educated on the topic), and I absolutely loved it! And so when I saw they were making a film around the novel, I was interested, as you can imagine. All to be disappointed upon finding out that they would cast such an...odd assortment of characters for a film like this, starting with their choice to include such a talentless person like Jennifer. Now, don't get me wrong, she had her time in the 90's and early 2000's, when art was at it's most raw form, but she's older now and should be moving on to other things, and many do agree with me. She's not a great singer, in my opinion, and I love all kinds of music. Her acting is a bit stiff to me, and when she tries to branch out you can see the strain. And that's what I get from this film. Strain. *sigh* Well, better luck next time, Kirk. I'm sure you'll learn your lesson. A pretty face is not always best choice.
HelenMary WTEWYE is not going to appeal to the masses, but I wouldn't go so far as to say it was a chick-flick as I'm sure there is something in it that men would relate to as well, but I'm sure it would be a film for people within a certain age group. The story is well acted by many familiar faces, most notably Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Lopez. All the women are well known for comedic roles as well as romantic ones and everyone, including the men, were good, engaging, believable and funnily portrayed. Matthew Morrison, Dennis Quaid, Joe Mangangiello, Elizabeth Banks, Chase Crawford, Anna Kendrick and Rodrigo Santoro are other well known names in the ensemble - amongst others - who bring the action right up to you as these couples go through the highs and lows of parenthood. Whilst it's been done before and will no doubt be done as again as it's such a universal experience, this film's wide scope of covering many scenarios made it a little different. It's not a fantastic film as it's all quite basic and straightforward with few surprises but I'll say it's worth a watch if it's a topic that appeals or one or more of the actors interest you. It's easy watching, light entertainment with no bells or whistles (except a few ripped torso shots) and also thankfully the clichés are kept to a minimum. Better than average viewing but not original enough or out of the ordinary enough to score higher. A nice film for adults, I wouldn't say it was family viewing.
elliecopter24 It's an alright film, I mean at some parts it's fairly funny, due to Rebel Wilson being in it, it was quite unpredictable also. However the whole film has no storyline at all, it wasn't interesting, they've spent so much money on having top actresses such as Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Jennifer Lopez and Cameron Diaz, but the film in all is just not good. Also I just do not understand why this film is under the 'comedy' genre? I didn't see any comedy in it? It's more like a chick flick.. It was slightly confusing how the whole film was based on about 5/6 couples who don't really seem to have any connection what-so-ever. Wouldn't recommend this film.
