smay-13932 This is one of my favorite films of the last few years. The film feels even shorter than it is because it's so engrossing. Frank Grillo is very believable and sympathetic as the film's anti-hero. The plot is full of tension and is never predictable. I must admit that I'm a sucker for any movie with a realistic car chase or two, so this was a perfect fit for me. This is the kind of film I was hoping to see when I saw Baby Driver and Drive. I found none of the characters in those films particularly interesting, and the car chases were disappointing. The chases in Baby Driver were unrealistic, and the ones in Drive were too short and too infrequent. Wheelman feels more like a Mad Max: Fury Road set in present day New York. I loved it and highly recommend it!

Leofwine_draca WHEELMAN feels very much like somebody saw LOCKE and decided to make their own version of that film, albeit in a thriller context with more car chases and the like. This is a small-scale story starring the consistently interesting Frank Grillo as a driver mixed up with various shady characters. Much of the story plays out from the interior of his car, but said story turns out to be quite unremarkable, the usual mix of drugs, money, kidnapping, and small-time hoodlums. I didn't think much of the script, which is all mindless profanity, while the action never really gets going and there are too many cliches at the end of the day. I much preferred DRIVE which tells a similar tale in a much more powerful way.

nowhereg I didn't have very high expectations for this movie before watching it, but it surprised me, It kept me on the edge of my seat! Very intense, a lot of suspense and tension, I would highly recommend it to anyone. I decided to write this review because I think this movie is very underrated

ancienttome This movie had an excessive amount of bad language in it, but the plot was absolutely intriguing and gripping. The action scenes were great. The special effects were good. The acting was superb. Overall, this was a very good film.
