Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Reviews

doublecsplices Very entertaining and good action. Magneto's descent into villany was very well made, as was the relationship between Charles and Eric.the cgi was good for the most part and Kevin Bacon made a cool villain. Some of the makeup (Beast) was not very good, and Emma Frost was bland and boring. Some of the first class were underdeveloped ( Darwin, Havok, Banshee) but beast had an excellent arc and was well acted, overall very enjoyable and funny. James MacEvoy and Micheal Fassbender were the highlights and Magneto's theme song was awesome.
thedarkknight-99999 The pacing of the first half of the movie is so fast that it's the responsible for all the movie's flaws; the motivations for joining the team aren't convincing or rather they made all the mutants aren't different from each others (actually it is one motivation that you should understand yourself), the humor didn't work for me (despite the fact that the jokes aren't bad at all) and the dull dialogue between the villain and the heroes revealed all the evil plans. But actually this very pacing made this movie one of the most entertaining superhero movies I've ever seen. Also, all these flaws are only in the first half of the movie as I said and they are nothing if we compared them to the many positives of this movie; the visuals are stunning, all the performances are great (specially from McAvoy and Fassbender as well as their characters), Magneto's dramatic scenes in this movie maybe are the best in the entire franchise, the cheesiness in this movie is amiable and amusing, even the humor gets much more better in the second half of the movie. the action sequences are stylish and the plot is simple but strong. without a doubt it's one of my favorite X-Men movies.
Mihai Toma In a world where mutants lived camouflaged among humans, Charles Xavier, a mutant who can read minds, starts recruiting in preparation for an imminent battle with a malicious group who is determined to start World War 3. This movie presents the beginnings of the X-Men, how each of them began to use their powers, their struggle to accommodate with humans and the battle that separates them into two distant factions. It manages to tell its story in an entertaining and thrilling way alongside all the awesomeness generated by the mutants and their powers. It's unexpectedly captivating and the fact that it leaves almost no question unanswered regarding the origins of the mutants makes it even more interesting. I have to admit that one or two aspects of the "young ones" are a bit exaggerated and awkward but that doesn't affect the overall quality of the film. It was a pleasant surprise from this franchise and I can only hope they will maintain this level in the upcoming titles.
