joker-scar I am a huge assassination and history buff and have been since I was a kid, well only a history buff at that time. When I saw the book freshly on display one day passing through a mall I thought, great premise. This premise which historians, scholars and the general public have debated for decades has finally been put forth in story form by one of the most popular authors of the last quarter of the 20th century. Then it is announced as a mini-series. Awesome. On the bucket list. I bought the series sight unseen asap. Great cast, suspenseful story line "and" also the antiquated toe-the-line theory that Oswald did it alone and we gotta stop "him", not a possible "they" as most people believe but that thin as a angel's hair "theory" that a lone nut did the impossible. Is this what Mr. King believes or did he opt for that poor beaten to death horse concept out of some pressure to do so? Me don't know...? I don't read "fiction" and know little of Mr. King other than the novels that have been turned into flicks. Yes. I believe he should have addressed it and it does appear in the series in tiny spurts but is quickly forgotten and jumps quickly back onto the Warren Commission "single-bullet-theory" tram. As a non believer in that fiction, it was the only thing that kept popping into my head as I watched the series which irked me. The series is a must see for just the simple detective/suspense story that it is. I suppose the Oswald theory will forever be stuck in the fabric of the assassination despite any evidence to the contrary. Sometimes the bad guys do win.
patrickschenk13 Watched the show, then read the book and rewatched. At first I thought it was awesome, so I decided to read the book. Now that I've read the book and rewatched the first episode, it's crazy to see how much is changed. To get full effect of this story, definitely read the book. Still a fun show but the whole story is almost backwards
Jithin K Mohan From the first episode in which the time travel and saving JFK and such details were revealed itself it was clear that it wasn't entirely about the time travel or saving JFK but the journey. They gave enough reasons to invest on the character than the mystery itself and it worked entirely for me although if I were focusing on the story there are a lot of problems with it. The ending was beautiful and I realise now it's the kind of ending I am a sucker for. James Franco and Sarah Gordon are a treat to watch and the period was also perfectly captured.
darkavenger77 Or I should say lack of values. I saw the concept and was looking forward to a time travel show that dealt with one of the most controversial 20th century issues in the US.Within the first few minutes the profanity began. By the time the third f-word had been spoken, I turned it off. In modern America, I suppose a show can't be considered good or realistic unless it has language such as this. I disagree. I just finished watching Journeyman from 2007 and it was an excellent time travel series that the entire family could watch. Of course it only lasted one season, the norm for short-attention span modern America.
