warnerjackie This show had good production quality, and mostly really good actors, so I think that's why I felt so let down by the writing. My 5 year old nephew could have been a better detective than the characters in this show. Did they have a law enforcement consultant?! I understand everyone once in a while characters have to do dumb stuff, but this was too much. They didn't get super simple relations or they jumped to this conclusion that no one would have guessed, and it was still wrong. And then at the end the cop who was hell bent on persecuting her tryed to make a pass at her and she was all giggles about it. She was also cool with her ex just completely not believing her (and doing the worst detective job ever).
desireeha I just started watching but am I to believe in the 6 years this woman endure brutal torture but her eyebrows stayed groomed? She is in the hospital, battered and bruised but fingernails neatly filed? The brows! I may keep watching but it is truly sad that women can be seen beat up but certain beauty standards must be maintained. This is my perspective. The actors, stylists and directors make choices in storytelling and I find fault in this choice.
donkey_dick It wasn't bad but I found it too hard to swallow that it was supposed to take place in the USA. It's just didn't look like the USA. I do however credit the filmmakers for trying their best. It must've been pretty difficult to totally mask the fact that it was filmed in Bulgaria. If that kind thing doesn't bother you and you like somewhat far fetched dark mysteries then you may enjoy it.
sydneyrae-48577 I found myself getting very annoyed with this show. This woman has just returned up from being kidnapped, tortured, and presumed murdered for 6 years. They wait about 10 seconds before trying to pin something on her. She runs, because what else do you do when LITERALLY EVERYONE you care about is against you. Then when other things start happening, immediately Emily is to blame. There is no actual evidence to support that theory, but oh, it's definitely her! UGH! Her husband's new wife, Alice, is cold hearted. She plays the victim but is actively trying to turn Flynn (Jack and Emily's son) against Emily. This really irritates me. Obviously there is going to be tension when your husband's dead wife returns from the grave, but COME ON! I have no sympathy for her character at all. I think that the writers could have crafted her character with a little more grace to make her an actual likable person, even though she doesn't really trust Emily. Instead, she comes off as petty, jealous and just a mean spirited person in general. Over all it is a good show. The acting is great and it kept me hanging on wanting to know how things would turn out for Emily.
