Detective Catherine Chandler is a smart, no-nonsense homicide detective. When she was a teenager, she witnessed the murder of her mother at the hands of two gunmen and herself was saved by someone – or something. Years have passed and while investigating a murder, Catherine discovers a clue that leads her to Vincent Keller, who was reportedly killed in 2002. Catherine learns that Vincent is actually still alive and that it was he who saved her many years before. For mysterious reasons that have forced him to live outside of traditional society, Vincent has been in hiding for the past 10 years to guard his secret – when he is enraged, he becomes a terrifying beast, unable to control his super-strength and heightened senses.

lilejoanne I hope this series is brought back best example of true love overcoming all I ever seen and Vincent and Catherine absolutely sizzle on screen would love too see those two together again on screen tell me what and where I am there. The examples of true friendship and family are everywhere in that series we need more shows exactly like it to remind us love is what matters most
e-a-caskey I only recently found out about this series and was crazy obsessive about watching it, It was amazing and gripped me from the very beginning. The story and the characters everything was so well scripted and portrayed. The fact that the stakes just kept on getting higher and higher left me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going happen next or how it was going to end.I loved how how Cat was not the typical beauty that she was a strong kick ass heroine that did't need saving, as she pointed out numerous times. The actress who was chosen to be her sister fit the roll to a T, I ended up loving her sister and she became my unsung heroine of the show. The only character that I ended up not being to fond of was Tess and I don't know why although I think that she and JT fit each other very well. Loved JT as well just saying lol. The only person that I could not quite figure out how they fit into the show was Kyle, maybe the writers thought that because everyone else was getting a HEA that Heather needed one too. I felt like that story line with Kyle never really went anywhere. I was hoping that they would let him in on the family secret at the end, I always got the feeling that he knew more then he was letting on, and that he never really fully believed that undercover story that Heather told him. All in all loved the show and was very happy with how it ended, can't help wishing that there was more though lol.
juliedowling I wrote this in scattered waffling prose I think but...I have only been watching this show for a little over a month.I heard it was being canceled and it's quietly proved to be a moment in my life which I won't forget easily. Jay Ryan is quite frankly an exceptional actor. His complete acting range is rare & truly breathtaking. In Beauty & the Beast Jay Ryan's dramatic skill flew high into the range of multi-award winning performances I've seen to date. His skill within dramatic moments in this character of Vincent Keller were laced with a quiet serenity and at times horror of his own actions. It's his skill in acting that makes this character believable and highly emotional. Never have I seen an actor do this with such deftness and ease of delivery... Comedic turns were whimsical, boyishly sweet, textured with self delight, deprecating and affectionate. A nuanced vulnerability made me want to reach into the screen to be friends. He has on screen mesmerizing charm and masculinity that is beguiling.Ryan didn't betray the viewers trust for an instant on comedic and dramatic delivery and in doing that it takes infinite skill and regard for his audience. It was beyond a privilege to watch him. His performances led me on a personal journey with him, stealing the show and making it his. I'll be following his acting career after watching this series. The production was quick paced and believable. The ensemble of actors were excellent. One word to describe this series with Jay Ryan in it is breathtaking. This show redefines TV series drama in many ways but Jay Ryan's performance in the lead male role of Vincent Keller, the beast, kept me riveted to the screen. I'll be watching the entire 4 series in re-run till the DVD's wear out or iTunes fades away into binary 0+1. My rating: 10/10
Angie I was all excited about this series when it debuted, but the story has gotten progressively pathetic to the point that I'm done with it. In this day and age, with Cat being a kick butt cop who can take such good care of herself and others, how did they write her to be such a weak little doormat girlfriend? First there's Alex, Vincent waffles between Cat and his old fiancé, while Cat waits sweetly on the sidelines and jumps back together with him as soon as the other option closes for him. He didn't even choose her! Then he's all trying to distance himself for her safety and she's just following him around like a puppy dog begging to be together and protecting him however she can through her job. Then next season she catches him kissing some chick and she doesn't even confront him on it? Really?? She says their fight isn't about them its more about her father? I'm sorry, but if I catch my boyfriend returning a kiss some girl is giving him, the fight is sure as heck going to be about that! They're making Cat out to be either some pathetic passivist who is afraid to call her boyfriend out on some really unacceptable behavior or a total idiot who doesn't realize her boyfriend is a non-committal jerk. This show should be called "Doormat and the Beast". They need to fire these writers. How is it this "beastly" boyfriend seems to constantly have a string of ladies throwing themselves at him? "Beauty" there doesn't even have as impressive of a line of suitors. You would expect the possibility of a love triangle in a show called Beauty and the Beast...but on the side of the Beast? With Beauty being the ever devoted protector waiting in the wings?? "Majar Fail" does not even begin to sum up this show.
