I'm amazed that this series has scored a 6.6 on the IMDb chart. The idea was good, manic depressive psychiatrist tries to not only keep her own life together, but help others. I'm still not sure what it is that turned this show into a debacle. It didn't seem to be going anywhere, no real storyline to follow. I felt little sympathy for her, her portrayal of a manic depressive was a bit hollow. I've seen her in a couple of other things and she was OK, I didn't like her in this though. Can't really blame it on her though. The rot went deeper than that. The first few episodes left me with a little bit of hope, but then it took a nose dive into ridiculousness. The writers? The director? Were they medicated or something themselves? Whatever happened to this show, I hope it goes to the Davy Jones' locker of bad film and sinks into oblivion never to rear it's dreadful head again.

I know there are some logical errors and the solutions are a bit rushed......but I myself, as a bipolar find it relieving and fascinating to watch a show that deals with this mental illness or any mental illness at all......sure there can be some inaccuracies.....but they are writing a TV show not a documentary and for that purpose I really likes it. I rarely see a character I can relate to on TV...and for me it is fun to watch. I think we need more shows with the issue of mental illness without it always ending up as a comedy........agreeable our lives can sometimes be laughable to look at.......with all the weirdness and craziness.......but nonetheless is is a curse and a blessing......people take mental ilnesses to lightly because they are in the head.....just take your meds, be a good girl and don't make any trouble. They have no idea how hard it is to keep sane.......and how easy it is to slip......because that's what madness is.

I really do not understand why this show was canceled. I mean, I absolutely loved it! I have watched 'House', 'treys Anatomy', 'Scrubs' and those kinds of hospital shows for a long time, but honestly I must say that this one is my favorite of them all! The show contains great characters and I love the relationship in the family and the dynamic at 'The Cube' Hospital. It has an exiting storyline and I find to really interesting that Catherine must struggle with her own decease while helping other patients. I have actually been really into neurology since I watched this show for the first time. I couldn't stop watching, so I saw season one from the beginning and though out on two days.. I would recommend making a season two off this show and do more to make people aware off the show. Who agrees? Save some money on making another season off House.

I do not have enough good things to say about this show. From the very first episode, I awaited the next one with great anticipation every single time. The acting is absolutely phenomenal. I've seen a disappointingly large number of reviews where people claim the depictions of bipolar disorder to be over the top, but I strongly disagree. As a girl who fights major depressive disorder, and bipolar disorder myself, I have never related more to a character in my life. While it may seem "larger than life" or "over the top" to some viewers, the show hits exactly on what the highs and lows of the mental disorder feel like FROM THE VIEWPOINT OF THE ONE WITH THE DISORDER. Many people fail to realize how much more extreme and intense various sensations and experiences feel to one who actually suffers from a mental disorder. Yes, it may not be considered "the norm" but it's part of what the chemical inbalances in the brain cause us to feel and I for one greatly benefited from finally having a character that I could relate to so flawlessly. If this show does not get renewed because of some people's lack of compassion, understanding, and ability to even ATTEMPT to see the world from somebody else's viewpoint that they will never be able to fully understand, then I will be beyond disappointed.
