humdeela One of the most touching scenes on DH was Mike's funeral. I can find the scenes of it on YouTube. Vanessa Williams is singing "Amazing Grace". So far, it is "bookmarked" on my iPhone. However, I can't find the song on iTunes. I would love to have her version! Can anybody help? Is there a way it can be petitioned to be released? I think I'll look to see if reruns of DH are Netflix, Hulu Plus or even Amazon Prime. I haven't found it in reruns on cable in a few years. Part of the reason I would love to see it again is due to the post of what is your favorite episodes/scenes. Another shows I enjoyed watching again in reruns was Ugly Betty and Medium. Scrubs is also a good, fun show to watch.
lois-lane33 Although I wasn't particularly a fan of the TV show Sex and the City' (I thought it tended towards a deplorable crudeness posing as sophistication) I watched this show a few times and liked it more or less, probably because I'm a fan of Eva Longoria more than of the other actresses involved with this project, particularly Felicity Huffman whom I'm really not that into. I thought that the plot was well done-as much as it could be since it was made in a suburban community that looks right out of a 1950 sound stage. I thought that maybe they focused a bit too much on their relationships with their kids-most people and most teenagers especially tend to want to simply have their privacy and deal with their day to day existence with as little contact with others as possible-even if they get along with most people. Ah the new family dynamic brought to you via the big networks-well-its a bit like that. Lots of philandering brings little in the way of interpersonal revelations to the show with that exception being guys and gals realizing that they dig casual sex with people they are not married to-after they have been married for about five years. There are few solid characters on this show (except EL's character who knows the value of life) and basically the show makes a curious statement about its progenitors since many people are quite solid in real life. The show functions at some levels like a form of self justification-like saying 'everybody picks their nose' so its OK to do it whenever you want to when in reality it really isn't so OK to be picking your nose in a fancy restaurant (as in picking your nose at the table is like having sex anywhere with others when you are married) "stay away from film people" is a funny message for a TV show- even if it was unintentional.
imhismommy08 I just finished the last episode of DHW and I just have to say that I am sad. I watched all 8 seasons on Netflix and I got so caught up in the drama that I would stay up until 12 sometimes 2 am watching it. I loved these women like I knew them. I felt every emotion with them, sad, happy, excited, heart broken, etc. If this series was brought back to television I would for SURE watch it. I am so happy that Tom and Lynette got back together, that broke my heart to see them break up. My favorite of all is definitely Susan! She is hilarious, cute, clumsy (like me), beautiful, smart and oh so witty! Thank you so much for such a wonderful show.
SnoopyStyle It is Wisteria Lane in an upper middle class suburb. Neighbors Susan Mayer (Teri Hatcher), Lynette Scavo (Felicity Huffman), Bree Van De Kamp (Marcia Cross), and Gabrielle Solis (Eva Longoria) are shocked when their friend Mary Alice Young (Brenda Strong) is killed. The seemingly idyllic suburbs hide dark secrets as the show follows these friends and their families. This Marc Cherry creation started very strong. This has a great compelling concept like many other dark suburbs shows. As long as the murder remained unsolve, this stayed intensely compelling. Once the murder is solved, the show immediately tried to inject another dark secret. After that, they just muddled along as a night time soap opera. When they threw in a tornado, they truly jumped the shark. The actresses became iconic even as their show declined. Was it possible to keep the early promise of the show? Certainly it's hard to keep the murder unsolved in a TV environment. Anyways, the show definitely declined markedly after the reveal.
