Rasheed Zelig Thomas Dexter's Lab is one of the greatest cartoons I have ever seen as a kid! And still great to watch even today! There is not one thing I dislike about it but the fact it ended! Every character has it going on, from the boy genius Dexter to the hyper dancer Dee-Dee to the other boy genius Mandark to the funny Dad and Mom! Seems like all the characters on this show were developed to a point where it's hard not to like them! All different yet, all great! It's not only great for kids but great for adults. Heck, even Coolio enjoyed this show to the max! A+This is the kind of thing Cartoon Network needs back, the charm that Dexter had!
lunatroid "Dexter's Laboratory" is an odd duck of a cartoon. It's strangely schizophrenic; on the one hand, it's a cartoon about a mad scientist who's full of vainglorious ambition and who goes on zany sci-fi adventures. On the other, it's a cartoon about a little boy and his turbulent relationship with his big sister. The titular hero of the toon, Dexter, is both those characters. He's a brainy kid with a secret lab that his sister, Dee Dee, constantly invades and sometimes damages, not out of meanness, but because she's fascinated by her brother's inventions and wants to "play" with them. She also wants to pal around with her little brother, whom she sometimes teases but also loves. As for Dexter, he finds her invasions annoying and frustrating, yet, if she's not around wreaking playful havoc, he soon goes to pieces and seeks her out for company. The siblings are like two halves of a whole brain; Dexter is the logical left side while Dee Dee is the creative, free-spirited right side. They're an endearing pair, and while the show has a lot of funny moments (including Dexter's and Dee Dee's first experience with coffee, and a snowball fight that their dad takes much more seriously than they do), it's the affection between the brother and sister that sticks with you; that is the REAL chemistry found in Dexter's Lab. All in all, "Dexter's Laboratory" is worth a look, although it's probably best to avoid the special "Ego Trip" (in which Dexter comes off as highly unpleasant) and the revival episodes released in 2000/2001; a new production team and new voice for Dexter were employed for those, and unfortunately as a result the series lost much of its heart and humanity. But the early seasons are golden. If you're in need of a laugh with a touch of heart, it's worth paying "Dexter's Laboratory" a visit.
patricklewisjr-455-563574 This show was one of my favorite cartoons on Cartoon Network!I was a huge fan of this show.Heck! The animation inspired me to make good drawings! This show is about a boy genius named Dexter is trying to keep his laboratory a secret from his parents. But his sister Dee-Dee destroys his inventions and some times Dexter helps Dee-Dee. The Justice Friends was hilarious, the characters were funny (I like krunk)Dial M for Monkey was........ okay its not good or bad it's okay. This was original. These are one of the best shows ever in the '90's.
malikroberts16 As boring as kids' shows are these days, I'm glad to say that "Dexter's Lab" was one of a lot of TV shows that I loved watching when I was a child. It just magically disappeared off Cartoon Network, and Boomerang's probably the only channel in the world that shows it now. "Dexter's Lab" is my kinda TV! A smart-as-hell boy genius that sounds like Peter Lorre to me and a very annoying and picky older sister that loves to mess up all of the genius' stuff! How do you go wrong with that? Easy. Just snatch it off the airwaves, acting like no one gives a damn about it. I watched the show all the time, especially on Saturday mornings. I really miss these kinds of shows. There were some episodes in the show that made me laugh until I cried.I'd love to get the whole show on DVD someday.
