I've been watching this series with keen eyes for a while now and I'm annoyed a bit on the path that it took in many cases. We've got multiple instances where there were some kind of meh factor, but now I had enough to talk about it.We had a queer ultra weakling Gohan part, an unbelievable Freezer power-up, the time skipping Hit; but these were grounded on something logical and can be explained at least somehow. -And of course; currently there are two imbecile Omni-gods, who are able to instantly exterminate whole Universes based on some warriors's power, don't know anything valuable and create nothing. Nonetheless, we could accept this if the execution would be fine. But so far this new Kefla nonsense takes the cake in my opinion.Young gales without experience now are capable to humiliate the character who has saved several times the whole world. Who raised his combat level more than by 1.000.000, and just now to further elevate delusional anxiety, they are wanting from us to eat that some random unknown turds can achieve this kind of mark in a few minutes screen time because they are so much talented. Characters which have no further background and even if they had, just no way they could surpass the protagonist in such a short period in a fairly made plot.An adolescent girl Broly who we need to digest now, and his sister with their irrelevant speeches and over-sentimental feelings just happen to show a power level which makes goku frightened.(I cant even understand that, because in so far back in freezer saga proved that he's a dauntless character. So what? He is way more skillful, surpassed everyone he met, and died two times already; why would he fear?:O) And this is the second time within 35 episodes. -Therefore, it couldn't be said they can represent the immense energies adequately by now; unless they distort the character's representation's somehow.Yet you know, this is DB Super, where every weakling's power is miraculously reaching insanely high levels in 20 minutes whereas half of that aggrandizement happened back then with Strong and determined characters within 30-50 episodes in dbz. I guess it's about people to whom needed to cut the story short, and yearning for faster action no matter what, and this is some kind of adaptation; Still..I hadn't really liked the way how the show has been started and I'm getting aggravated on the fact that the whole dragon ball franchise are being ruined; wherein after a few hit everything is decided. These types of speedy battles occurred in the movies; now its the essential base of the anime. Few times though I'm engaged, but most of the time hc db fans are just receiving the bs. It is now safe to say since 114 previous episodes past that this db super is too fast, exaggerating and superficial in its fights and has an unreasonable story telling; and capable to destroy character values by the most idiotic ways.Sometimes I feel that this series is produced for 12 year old kids. And I'm not sure it's the reality or just a false consequence of my thoughts. And sadly this is a trend now; to create more easily consumable products to gain more on the public interest. I hate the hype, when you have a new form and turns out after a few episode that is weak; where it is a common thing to show off more power on normal SSJ levels than on God forms. You know what?It is a lashed-together show which was built from previous adoration and claptrap, so it's guaranteed to win attention and appreciation. It is a wimpish half-made patchwork which sometimes makes you more furious than giving you pleasure..Sometimes it seems that they are able to get the scenes right and you have the feeling of amusement, but when it is repeated couple of times, can't be the same. Who's seen the whole series from the beginning has to know what I'm on about. The Constant Life and Death situation what was the basic perturbation of this anime interchanged with eating, family and mundane crap; what should have to be funny and exciting; but gradually became tedious and annoying. These things shouldn't be included in dragon ball in this huge quantity cause it kills the momentum. And I haven't said anything yet about the retrogression in Goku's intelligence and some anomalies(like the two "kid-God" at one time)These are the main reasons why it's not as great as it could be.On the other hand, I do not have problem with these concepts, although if I want these I watch some near real world dramas, and do not want the demolition of my once favorite cartoon. However, I cannot leave the voice matter alone; And it has to be said that it is superb. I really like the voice acting even if this is a basic built-in thing in DB.Thus, I don't say not gonna watch the show in the future, because I'm excited to see what i.e Jiren's real power is, still Dragon Ball and so on; though I do know that this sequel is nowhere near at this point from the standard what Dragon ball Z had established. Even if they came up with a few newly designed transformations in the next episodes, there would be a small chance to outpace the basic fighter anime that I loved so much.//I'd say this could be taken in as a critic more than a regular review; but If I say a number as a score it may be a rather correct guess.Hence, I gave a strong 6(~6.5) from the current standpoint, but it might change with the subsequent story flow and it is based on not wanting to judge heavily on the reshaped childish-like new generation screenplay.

Let me preface my review by stating that I'm going to be talking about the English dub (at episode 31 thus far), and that I'm a HUGE DB fan, and not just for DBZ, but all of DB (except for GT, at least bar the concepts of it), so I'm going to try to keep this short, even though I could write a report on it. Being a huge fan does mean that I'll probably have some bias, especially with my final score, but it also means that I can spot the things that really hooked people and kept them coming back to DBZ, which Super sadly lacks. Spoiler alert: unlike many might think, the action's not he main reason DB/Z were and are so good.Anyway, this is by far one of the best anime's on TV right now. The one in a hundred. One of the few that aren't just recycled otaku and weeb type nonsense. I'm actually surprised and thankful with the type of language they can use considering how censored things are now and days, at least with the English releases. So I'm happy that the show's got some freedom and creativity, even though I'm still annoyed that they cant show blood or wounds anymore, but I can live with it. Also, people watching it WAY over exaggerated the quality of the animation, or lack of rather. It's literally not as bad as people made it out to be. I mean sure, it's not as good as DB/Z, as if it were hand drawn, but it's still not as blank as most anime now and days, and I would say it's ~80% as good as DBZ.That being said, there's major issues with it too. Short story; it lacks the depth, detail, narrative, progress, character development, story, impact, and intrigue that DBZ had. It's just WAY too much back-to-back action without the more important in- betweens that those action sequences need, not just want, but need.Long story: I first saw this sort of "downward slope" after the Cell saga concluded, as the conveniences, coincidences, focus on action, and the rushed timeline piled on during the Buu saga, a bit like with George and "The Return of the Jedi". Not to say that the Buu saga was as bad in contrast to the other sagas, but I could tell there was a difference. Without focusing too much on DBZ, the Buu saga just had convenient SSj3 which we never saw the why and how of, convenient fusion dance, then more convenient Potara fusion, and the potential unleashed which involved sitting... how exciting. It did have a WHOLE lot of great moments, don't get me wrong, but it's not as god as the Frieza saga, or certainly at the least the Cell saga. DBS has much of the same here, there's just too much action and not enough downtime to focus on the characters or character development, or the training where we see the fighters actually work the blood, sweat, and tears that makes their victories much more satisfying and worthwhile. I mean Jaco who Bulma knew all along apparently, and then Bulma's SISTER?! WHERE IN THE F**K did they come from?! Then you have SSjG, so it's just an exact number of 5 Saiyans that have to give their energy... why that number? And even if that number has some Buddhism significance, it's still a super weird way to go from mortal to God. Like, it just seems a bit weak of a reason. Then on top of that Vegeta does it himself?! WHAT?! That's just again, more convenience, and more dumbness. Although, these things aside, I like how Bills and Whis were introduced, they're actually written quite fruitfully, much like a DBZ character, so that's very good. As a first season, season one was mostly fine. So then season two comes along, aaaaaaand it's straight into action again. A tiny bit of training and working for your power, and a tiny bit of character work, and then, as I said, into the action. No seeing Goku train, no seeing Vegeta train, no seeing Frieza train, no seeing any of the other Z-Fighters train, and no seeing what anyone else is doing. Like the entire season seems like a bunch of highlights of a bigger season. Season three's just started and it's gearing up to be more of the same, just makes the whole thing feel like fan "service" filler.I mean, just contrast DBS to the Cell super-saga (everything from when Trunks first goes back in time, so it includes the Trunks saga, the Androids saga, the Cell Games saga, etc). In the Cell super-saga you do get EPIC action, more epic than what we've seen thus far, and you get the more important and interesting downtime where you learn about Trunks, the alternate timelines, all that time travel stuff, you get to know Cell, the Androids, the Z-Fighters, there's awesome call backs to fans who watched the original DB (the Red Ribbon Army stuff), intensive and story rich training, actually interesting filler, and it's just such a complete and well put together super- saga. There's no rush in the Cell super-saga, it takes its time and crafts an amazing story, that also brings those cool what-if movies and specials along with it. DBS has very little of that, and it's one of the reasons why it doesn't have that entire "I can't wait for next week's episode" draw, even if I'm still interested to see the next episode. DBS just doesn't have the re- watch value of DBZ.If I could, I'd tell A.T. to go back and focus on telling the story the way he did with the Frieza and Cell super-sagas. DBS just needs a little bit more work, love, and care to get the show ironed out and perfect. That being said, thus far, I'd give it a benefit of the doubt 6.5/10.

Simply Put, If you Enjoyed Z You'll Enjoy This Greatly...According to IMDb, I must have at least up to four lines of review characters/words or whatever in order to submit this review so I will say just a few more things to those still on the edge of whether this is a good series or not or whether to watch or keep watching at all...Well, put your fears and negative perceptions of the series aside, plot holes/inaccuracies from Z and all, and just watch...I promise it is NOT dull, boring, or slow paced...(well, in some cases a few episodes go by before more good action comes along but what anime doesn't do this? And besides, its not as bad or even close to the seemingly '100' episode subplot fillers of Naruto thank god! lmao) Each saga, so far (im up to episode 101, 3rd or 4th saga) is only 10-15 episodes it seems. This current saga, the Universal Survival Saga, and the best so far in the series, EVER, yes including Z, seems to be much longer...about 8-10 episodes as like a preamble before the huge tournament that is occurring now (no spoilers) which has lasted to about 3 episodes so far, going into its 4th of the actual fighting and action of the tournament that is featured. If you are a DBZ fan in any way, you should NOT be disappointing by this series UNLESS you were expecting a recurring story from the now dropped GT, (which actually sorta touches on with the multiversal story lines btw! Not much, but hints!)or a recurring story from the BUU saga that is FULLY intact and without a single plothole...I, personally, haven't seen or spotted any plot holes throughout Super, but it has been many years since watched the final BUU saga of Z, and also, it's just an action packed cartoon thats chalk full of nostalgia, better animations, better fight scenes, more powerful heroes and villains, power levels that rival anything you've seen or wanted to see on Z (which we all know the dragon ball universe is all about the power levels! "Its over 9000!" lmao) Well folks, the Super series IS OVER 900,000,000! lmfao Trust in that....
