lil_miss_emo08 I've been seeing clips for this show for ages and thought I'd give it ago. I'm glad I did.. I could not stop watching it. Im really gutted they aren't doing a season 2 as I think it deserves it.. Would love to see what happens to them. So this deserves a big thumbs up
emilysisco I rolled my eyes when the first scene was literally every 90s trend. And the scene by scene music change is a little on the nose. But that actually adds to the charm! I was only 7 in 1996 but unlike the movies from the actual time period it's not full of ppl in their late 20s in tube tops and letter jackets on a college campus passing for a high school. The actors look their age and the characters are really good!! The nostalgia level is high but the story is good and fun and real.
alexisboring This show is amazing. I really enjoyed watching it. It has lgbtq+ representation and it helped people who are struggling with their sexualities. The characters are relatable and I liked that, because it doesn't happen very often that you can relate to a character that much. I suggest that you watch it. It is worth your time!
treegoblin This show is wildly inconsistent. Some I loved, some I hated. Characters were inconsistent and most situations totally unrealistic. Essentially zero 90s feel other than songs and silly references. I did however think that a handful of the characters were casted pretty well, and most of the story lines kept you interested. The bottom line is, they tried too hard. Just when you thought it had a genuine feel again, boom, here comes a mood swing from Luke and a dumb line from their goofy friend Tyler to remind you that this was mostly a bomb. Ironically enough, they probably could've went back and edited the entire series in a day and made it way better just like Luke did with his movie. In all, it's a show that could make you feel good for a day or two, but you'd never recommend it to a friend.
