Reviews

davek28 I'm up to episode 2.6 and I really don't know why I'm still watching this. It may be on SyFy (which really should be called Sci-Fi), but it should really be on Really. I've been borderline giving up on it since episode one season one, but for some reason I'm being hooked in by glowing eyes - and wanting to know what happens next.I've never been much of a fan of Halle Berry, and this series doesn't help. Molly's behaviour as a human and as a hybrid don't seem to be much different. Either way she's emotional, unpredictable and - though I hate to use the word - hysterical. I don't understand how she ever got through the astronaut training. I'm glad her stupid husband is out of the picture but, sadly, her stupid robot boy is still around. It's not quite a soap opera, and it's not really sci-fi. It's actually mushy melodrama with a science fantasy coating. So I'll grit my teeth and struggle through to the end, despite all my reservations.
iain-997-725308 This series had about the same intelligence as any given old-school Power Rangers episode, but with worse acting and even worse special effects. I feel sorry for the creators of it, because they seriously lack talent at what they do. Spielberg has a long history of shitty series, and quite honestly, I don't know how they can afford to keep making garbage like this. All of the actors were disinterested in their roles, and you could almost read the "man this is crap, when do I get paid?" expression on their faces. This the end of the Berry career. As for the screenplay itself...if you were to give a child a box of crayons and a handful of paint, they could create a better one. It's truly embarrassing, I feel shame belonging the same species.
this_is_really ...Halle Berry turned down Homeland to accept appearing in this crap a few years later. She obviously does not know how to chose her parts!!This series is beyond bad, the storyline, the acting, etc. and I cannot understand how an A-list star (who is probably D-list now) got excited about such a project. It is unquestionable that today, TV has become a credible vehicle for a lot of movie stars (Nicole Kidman and Resse Whitherspoon will have their own mini-series and let's not forget the recent performances of Matthew McConnaughey, Woody Harrelson, Claire Danes, Anna Paquin). I guess it's not too late to leave this uninteresting series behind and go back to worthwhile projects on TV or in Movies.
lilyfm21 I think this show is truly brilliant. A novel storyline, that keeps you guessing. I am not usually into space related programs but this isn't too far-fetched and I guess it's mostly about being a mom and what you would do for your child, whether human or not. The more you watch the more you can't help but think are we the real 'baddies'. I advise you to watch a few episodes as it takes time to adjust to the 'future', and everything moves so quickly but I can assure you it just keeps on getting better. Halle Berry is a gem and you find you're heart with her through the series, credit to the rest of the cast too. I also love the little touches, we don't just have robot children but little technological advancements that are cleverly placed in the background as it were. Overall I've really enjoyed watching the series and can't wait for more.
