Synopsis

Imagination Movers is a Live-action Pre-school television series that premiered on September 6, 2008 on Disney Channel. The program was originally part of the Playhouse Disney daily block intended for preschoolers. On February 14, 2011, it was moved to the Disney Junior block, serving as Playhouse Disney's replacement. The Imagination Movers TV series is based on the format and music of the New Orleans based music group Imagination Movers who both act and are co-executive-producers of the show. On May 30, 2011, it was announced that the series will end after the remaining episodes of the third season have aired, though the band itself will continue and is open to doing other projects. On November 28, 2011 the Movers ran an announcement on official Facebook page implying that they have been given the green light to air more new episodes of the show in 2012.

Reviews

Katherine My 3 year old enjoys the colors and music and dancing on the show. I also enjoy the cleverness of some of the imaginative things on the show, such as the Cold Room.Personally, I find the actors overact towards the children. It is condescending and I find it treats children more like idiots than like children. My daughter is only 3, but she doesn't need overdone expressions to understand what a character is feeling. Children are much more perceptive than that. I also object to the use of hip hop in their music. I don't blame anyone who exposes their children to it. But Disney should understand not all parents do. We do not let our children hear hip hop and I will put something else on if it comes on.
a-greco1228 I have a four year old sister and twin 1 1/2 sisters that completely adore this show. My 4 year old sister just loves to dance to the music and it is also music that I myself can enjoy and that helps me seeing as we are 16 years apart and I find my self having to watch them when I am home. Although they love the show my other siblings that are in Elementary School love the show too. I find that they are always playing "Imagination Movers" and someone has a part and someone in my family will tell them an "Idea Emergency" and they fix it. I think this show is wonderful!!! If you have anyone in your house that is young this show is worth giving a try. I found that once my mom started to record it on our DVR that this is all that they want to watch!!
crazymadkiwi This program is not suitable for the age group it is put out to here in New Zealand. The program is in no way educational and teaches under 5 years old children nothing other than to jump around and behave like a total idiot. Other more educational program's were taken off air for this rubbish. Please take it off NZ sky we don't like it.This program sends out a message to young children that grown men are OK and that behavior such as theirs is fun. This program does not encourage children to use their brain at all, counting, alphabet and word games are what children should be watching, not four grown men running round a warehouse pretending to be dumb arses. Children need to be shown how to solve problems, but not the problems this show provides. I have a 3 and a half year old and even she thinks it is stupid and misses the other educational programme that was removed. This is an awful program and I rate it 0/10.
remitch1 We just watched the first one. We have a 3 year old daughter. It is great for age 3 and up. This show makes your child think and dance, also bright colors. This show dose not seem to talk down on kids. Our daughter was trying to do there dances. Witch was really funny to watch her do. Witch we was glad it did not.Our daughter loved the oppsite room. We hope there is more for our daughter to be able to watch more. Also our daughter loves music. So if your child loves music. This is the show for your kid to watch. We are always looking for good shows like this one for our daughter. We are looking forward to seeing more on TV.
