elephantear I love the Hispanic cast and it still Sticking to the classic telenovela feel. I love all the big star showins and honestly the biggest cliffhanger!!!! Every show is going to bring in politics and real world views get over it!!! Cry about something else if you can't take it!!! Keep doing what your doing!!!!!!
mathmaniac This is not my first telenovela. 'Betty La Fea' took me by surprise, making me want to never miss an episode, transcribe the dialogue with my basic Spanish skills (difficult task!) and record as many episodes as possible on videotape (that's how old THAT telenovela is!)No other clumsy attempt to replicate the 'Betty' plots in other languages can match the original. It's just fantastic. Now, I'm as addicted to 'Jane the Virgin' (see how the title follows the template of 'Betty the Ugly One'?)This story is not meant to make serious sense. The characters are meant to carry the viewer along a journey of intrigue and sweet, sweet romance - which they do. This is the charm and strength of the telenovela. 'Jane' does this so well that I shed a few tears along the way. So many simple truths coming from the lips of the narrator, from Jane, from Michael, from everyone! I heard that the series was entertaining but then, a synopsis of the promise made me thing: uh, not for me. Wrong. It defies description. Only can be appreciated by watching - with a scorecard - and a flowchart - and an open heart!
t-sharron626 My wife ran out of shows to watch, so she started watching this one. Usually, I don't care for any of the shows she watches, but I can sit down and get into the story and tolerate them. This show? I hate every time it's on. I can't stand the stupidity. It's not even remotely funny. Seriously. My wife doesn't even laugh. The story is just plain ridiculous and stupid. The characters are almost all completely unlikable and annoying.Ugh, sorry, take all this for what it's worth, but honestly this show is absolute trash. There are multiple other garbage shows you could watch before having to give yourself over to this mind-numbing, irredeemable garbage.Boo from me.
kiwwi I stumble on this show and the name grabbed my attention so I decided to watch one episode...then another one...and the rest is history. It is a really good comedy show, a bit chaotic at times, but very entertaining. I truly love the Telenova Star (he is so good looking and play his part so well) and as well with Daddy Baby Rafaela - another pretty good looking dude! The narrator is doing a superb job in moving the story along with lots of humour and punch line. I don't think the show would be as good without the narrator job. The story by itself is very interesting, a virgin with a baby, but very believable on it's own. The surrounding cast is doing a pretty good job and one big thump up for "Petra" who is amazing in her role. With all the side-track stories and events within the main story, I tend to want to see less of "Jane" and more of the other actors as I feel they bring so much more to the show. Jane is Jane..and it feels that she is not evolving in her role, which is something the other characters have done. Overall, it's a great show..perfect binging show for a rainy Sunday afternoon, with wine and popcorn. Enjoy!
