lmxdoomguyx-737-544429 I walked into this cartoon not expecting much, similar to when marvel launched earths mightiest heroes. I want to say right off the back that I don't hate this show, but I do not love it. This show has good ideas and can be entertaining. The main story arc of season 1 with the Cabal was really really cool. The problem with this show are numerous and I will address my complaints as so. 1: the voice acting is severely lacking. Although no one is "bad" no one feels like they are being directed right. I want to make it clear that all of the voice actors that I know are good, but they are very poorly written and directed. It obvious to me that the series is just trying to bank on the success of the movies for all the wrong reasons and serves as a poor imitation in this regard. Thor's performances as well as hulks really hold the series back. This baffles me as I am familiar with both these actors works and I KNOW THEY ARE BOTH TALENTED AND ACCOMPLISHED VOICE ACTORS. Especially Fred Tedscore who was fantastic as hulk in EMH's. 2. The show does not address continuity well. It completely glosses over a major plot point from season 1 and this show is full of moments like that. 3. The show has editorial mandates that detract from the overall narrative. This show is constantly introducing things from as they are announced in the MCU. I wouldn't have a problem with this is it was done with a bit more grace and finesse. sadly all the show seems to care about is mimicking the movies.4. Filer. this show has a number of episodes where nothing happens and the episodes can merely be skipped and nothing of value will be missed.5. Its not funny but will try to be. I get that the show is aimed at a lower audience but it feels like they aren't trying. the less said the better.all in all I will say that this show does have its moments, but there's a lot holding it back from being great. Its a million times better then United They Stand but nowhere near as good as Earths Mightiest Heroes.
chrisboyd0810 Yep! I've seen "Avengers: Earth's Mightest Heroes" once. It was great. But for Avengers Assemble was doing just very well. This is the show I really enjoyed. Like other heroes. Captain America, Black Widow, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk and Falcon. Teaming up for the first time. Since that the animation was beautiful as it looks. Like they battle against the Cabal for the first time ever. I found this Avengers Assemble impressive marvelous. But I believe the show can do better. Well, for the moment. I really love that show that was great and it's doing just fine and it was excellent. I fount it very interesting since I've watch most of the episodes I've missed.
KDCarson Some of the other reviewers need to look at the age limit on the show. It's recommended for age 7+ kids. It is not an adult superhero show and does not pretend to be. Yes, "Avengers: Earth Mightiest Heroes" was a better effort, but it's still fun to watch. Some of the plots and dialog are a bit over the top. But when you think about it, most superhero stuff is over the top. It's certainly okay if you are a fan of the Marvel Universe. Just enjoy and don't worry about it. Voice acting and music are okay, a nice array of villains are brought along, plenty of smashing and mayhem. Some of the other reviewers remarked about the level of damage done in the show?? Obviously you have not read any comic books in a while. There's always a roof coming down!! Like I said, just watch and enjoy!!
ikrani We have an all-star cast of Marvel's greats, fresh out of their hit movies and ready to make a return to the telly. While I do love Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, I will say that it was smart of them to start over. Because let's face it, once you beat the planet-eating god of your canon, you have nowhere to go after that. The characters are all likable and they're more or less the slightly dysfunctional team we've all come to know and love. Thor is the fish out of water, Hulk is the slightly dim but still right-thinking behemoth he was in the last cartoon, Hawkeye is... Well, basically all the characters are as they are in the Avengers movie, right down to the designs, which is okay by me. That is except for a few instances of out-of-character douchebaggery. The animation is the same as Ultimate Spider-Man and Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. It's a step up from EMH and Spectacular Spider-Man, and it flows well. The main problem with this show is the plot. The writers, much like a lot of cartoon writers these days, suffer from Everyone's-A-Moron Syndrome. They think that if we don't know what's going on then we'll lose interest, so they pretty much spell out the entire plot of each episode within the first five minutes. Around Episode 7 this condition takes a break and the full synopsis is extended to ten minutes, but otherwise we know how it's going to go down soon after the start. Now, this would not be a problem if it were something like Ultimate Spider-Man. That show has enough comedy and character interactions to drive it without the need for a ton of plot. Avengers Assemble is not a superhero action-comedy. Avengers Assemble is a more or less serious action piece that needs good plot. And, sadly, it doesn't have one. Yet.This show has the potential to be better. But for that to happen, the writers need to learn to throw more twists and turns to the audience, or at least keep the climax a secret until it arrives. I say stick with it to see if any episodes are good, but if you know how it's going to work out before the first commercial break, then tune out and re- watch Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
