I read a few comments on this website where people compared the TV version with the movie and commented that the TV version should stick with the same theme as the movie. I actually disagree. The movie talked about whether people should be arrested for crimes they haven't committed because future can be changed. The TV version discussed that as well but focused more on whether the world should sacrifice 3 people to save thousands. However, the entire TV version has nothing to do with the 'minority report'. This term only showed up in the last episode. So really, why spend a fortune buying the license when instead they can create a whole new story by altering the structure slightly. For people who watched the movie they actually had high hopes with the TV version continuing the movie;s plots. Well at least audiences would not be as negative if this TV series has a different name I guess. Two characters I dislike the most are Dash and Vega, but unfortunately they are the leading roles. Vega acted badly, or I guess they could have picked a better looking actress, whereas Dash's character was just plane stupid. There are too many weak spots in the plot as well. Examples: if Vega has the heat sensing technology why don't she use it more often? Sometimes Vega just forgotten that she has this function in her VR contact lens and put herself and her partner at risk in the crime scenes. She knew showing the octopus tattoo drawing in front of Blake would expose Dash and she still insisted on doing it. Dash is too arrogant, it's quite simple logic that if he lays low, he won't risk exposing himself, Arthur and Agatha, plus saving more lives in long term. But I guess he is too much of a good person that just has to save this next victim even if it means he'll get caught and won't be able to save the thousands of victims after he got caught and gets put to jail. If he is that worried about other people's life why don't he turn himself in and keep saving more people living in the milk bath? Even without the other two he could still help right, like he's been helping Vega? And at the end, he doesn't want to kill Blomfeld but he has to sacrifice Vega. While Blomfeld only works for money and Vega could save more lives doing her job, it's not a tough decision right?I had many questions in my mind while watching the TV series, but I did indeed watch all the episodes so I guess it's not that bad after all.

Minority Report is a TV show not the movie if you want to watch the movie then do so.This is also not a sequel to the movie. So what if its a police procedural,as long as they are police these shows will be made.I liked it, the actors they chose play their parts well and are believable. These are good actors, the characters are solid.I have worked with people in real life who are the complete opposite of me so this does happen. I like this series, whether its renewed or canceled does not take away from being a great show. Not every show has to have deep meaning and I like shows like that but I also enjoy being entertained. A good show with good actors, watch it.

I was hopeful when I heard about this show and that it was on Fox. Fox has done some good Sci-Fi: Almost Human, Terminator, Fringe, Firefly, X-files, Sliders, and etc... I'm not comparing the TV show to the movie at all. Other than the bells and whistles this is not Sci-Fi.I had one person post me on a blog that Firefly was old. Well, when it was on Fox; Fox kept switching the night it was on from week to week. Also, it's 2015 and people are still watching it.Reading the reviews is what prompted me to write a review. The younger viewers and their interest in Nick Zano was why I hadn't done a review, until today. For any show, the pilot episode is important. If the pilot is boring with sloppy writing, acting, and directing; then you know it's only going to get worse. Most Sci-Fi shows today are like video games. The characters and story. Minority Report isn't the only show guilty of this. Video games require active participation, TV shows and movies do not. So, there has to be a story that is acted out that draws the audience in; the total opposite of a video game.Wowing us with the CGI, high tech gadgets, and tech jargon only works if there is a story. You know there's a story if you watch a show for 20 mins. At 20 mins if you still don't know what's going on, then it's not worth watching.Sci-Fi is not only high tech it's fun. You never know what's going to happen. If the story is good you follow the character and character development unfolds. The story is the Horse and the character is the cart. In video games you choose the character. TV shows like the Minority Report put the cart before the horse.***To the younger viewers that like Nick Zano and tuned into Minority Report for that fact; I apologize. Life is too short and in youth, which is such a short time, you deserve some fun and a healthy break from your school work.*** Fox obviously knows somewhat what it's doing as it cut the season from 13 eps to 10. As of today the IMDb rating is 5.9 at the 9th ep. Because of CGI the cost of Sci-Fi shows has gone down not up. The story and acting are worth the investment. I could be wrong and I don't think there will be a 2nd season of Minority Report and other than the official announcement this show has been cancelled.Good Sci-Fi shows to watch: The 100, Continuum (which ended this year), or 12 Monkeys (2nd season to air in Jan. 2016).I would recommend passing on this show, but it looks like everyone already has.
