Loosely based on the 1990 Luc Besson's flim of the same name, Nikita is a pretty solid action show with mostly solid spy thriller. Maggie Q is an inspired casting as Nikita; even though her physique is obviously lacking she's executes action scenes with gusto, and she carries the title character mostly well, most of the time though her sad sequences were meh. But you'll be able to disregard all of that because Maggie Q is very hot; she doesn't just look hot, her charisma and on-screen presence is hot. The other actors were also very competent; Lyndsy Fonseca is apt as Alex Udinov, Melinda Clarke is her grimy best as Amanda. But the best actors here are Xander Berkeley as Percy the Big Bad of Divison and Peter Outerbridge as Ari Tasarov as the Big Bad of Gogol. Both Berkeley and Outerbridge also give inspired performance as the evil that our heroes need to defeat, and they do it with charm and intelligence. For a popcorn action series, Nikita is worth it.

First of all sorry for my bad English. Although serial has the characteristics of a good TV series, But the main purpose of the film is showing the hard weakness & folly of men in all aspects and worse than that in Intelligence officials, And on the opposite side is Showing the Great power of females for control everything. The movie is full of content and technical weaknesses So that each sane viewer even females may think get assumed stupid. Showing sexy girls with hot clothes is not enough for being a good series. By the way i don't want to say that there was no brain on making this series but watching just a whole season will show you an ideological obsession behind all which make good things so much bad. Good actors and actresses with good role playing and directing but in weak screenplay. Highly recommended for feminists.

I've just started watching. I cannot add much about the action that hasn't been said by scores of other reviewers, so I'll focus on the glamor. But before I do, it is absolutely unnecessary to bicker about this not being in the mild of the originals. I haven't seen those, except for Bridget Fonda's POINT OF NO RETURN nowadays known as ASSASSIN, and when that appeared, the promos showed bits of the Luc Besson movie. But what does it matter if this show is different from its forerunners? Had it been a frame-by-frame remake, you'd have yelled plagiarism! Hang on to your fond memories, this one doesn't delete them, so just enjoy it in its own right. There is plenty to enjoy. Maggie Q is an excellent choice. She is a well-preserved 31 year-old in the part of a 27 year- old with nice long legs that is hopefully going to be shown off with the same kind of spectacular effect as in the first episode. Loved that barefoot scene where she came out of the bathroom on her way to the dresses and computer. Was surprised that the red swimsuit scene with the guy in the pool turned out to be a dream. It was amazingly well filmed, and she sure can run, hot damn!My current sensation though, is Lynsy Fonesco. Wow, that pretty face! Brings out all those protective urges! But watch it, what's this at the end? All's not as it seems?I would advise all you action lovers to get around to this one. Pretty girls + fast & furious action sequences = you will be hooked!

Nikita (Maggie Q) is a former agent who escaped from a secret US off the books agency called Division. She was a troubled teen who had her death faked, and trained as a super agent. Now she is trying to bring Division down by shining a light. Alex (Lyndsy Fonseca) is a new recruit in Division. Michael (Shane West) is the trainer, Amanda (Melinda Clarke) is a sinister head shrink, and Percy (Xander Berkeley) is the power mad head of Division. It's a reboot of a TV series that was inspired by an interesting French movie that was remade into a US movie. It's still has good ideas. Maggie Q is a bit wooden but she's good as a cool headed female Jason Bourne. Lyndsy Fonseca is super hot. The rest of the leads are all good actors. For a TV show, it has good bang for the bucks. However after a couple of years, the show got more and more convoluted. It's sort of the same thing that happened to other similar shows such as Alias.
