Reviews

faithfulgrace-330-50991 I was a big fan of this show in its opening season and most the way through season 4. It was clever, with some good writing, interesting characters, and good plot twists. Then something happened and it turned into a soap opera. Rather than being an interesting show with some big moments, it turned into every scene being a yelling feast. I love an intense interaction, but when it's every dialogue in every scene...it's gets old. It's like they turned the volume up to 11 and left it there for 2 seasons. Characters became ridiculous and inconsistent, writing got predictable. Every character intensely flip flops back and forth, usually multiple times an episode. I'm trying to finish the show just to see how they resolve everything but it's basically just suffering through episodes that are mostly unwatchable. Sad to see it fall so far from its first seasons
nadinesalakovv My review is of all 6 Seasons, i haven't watched the final Season / Season 7 yet, so i can't review that one.Scandal is such a brilliant TV Show to the point that it has me Rewatching it on Amazon Prime. The acting is very good and the situations are interesting, some situations are more interesting than others, but overall the show is binge-worthy. Each Season is interesting, watchable, and compelling. There are realistic aspects and there are unrealistic aspects, the unrealistic aspect is the style of dialogue, clearly in real life not everyone speaks the same, but in Scandal everyone has the same tone in their dialogue most of the time which is something that i love about this show, the fact that everyone talks the same in that fast-paced way and in that style and tone is simply the flow of the series, it works well, i think it makes the show more interesting and different. The realistic aspect is how the Presidency is run, we see that everyone but the President is running the country, the President doesn't actually run the country, it's the people that work for him who are running the country. Speaking of the fictional President, he is unlikable, but not as bad as to ruin the entire series, other characters get a lot of screen time so that evens things out, if "Fitz" had more screen-time the show would be ruined, this character "Fitz" is self-righteous and snappy 80% of the time, it's understandable because this character is unhappy with his life, he cannot be with "Olivia Pope" full-time, he can't have a proper relationship with her, it still however does not take away his unlikeability. Kerry Washington is the perfect actress to play "Olivia Pope", no one else could play that role with the emotion, grit and energy that she brings. The Writers of this show are very talented, there is always some shocking major story line along with other situations that keeps you on your toes. One thing that they needed to change was "Cyrus Beene", he is an okay character, but his personal life is sometimes shoved in our faces too much, we already see a lot of the other character's personal lives, "Cyrus" has the least interesting personal life.
aliases-53334 I tried to watch and wanted to like it but oh my... from scene one this show is cringeworthy! The characters are horrible. Olivia is such a bad character and has only one, stale expression. She always feels like she needs to ride the high horse and the show has to keep mentioning how "badass" she is. Ok if anyone is really badass they don't need to keep saying it ok? And the president... don't even get me started. A cry baby non-presendtial badly casted loser who doesn't stop whining! Please spare me.
adrianjensen-56182 In todays world with the amount of good quality TV-shows and movies to watch. this show is simply the quality of a 90's, early 00 show.the writing is not original, the cast is literally the same in all 7 seasons, with some exceptions, and the none-logical perception that this show has is mind blowing.the show is basically an overly dramatic love scandal that's being stretched for 7 season when it should have only been max 2 seasons.the show is enjoyable, but at the same time annoying!if you picked up this show in 2018 or later, i would much rather recommend titles such as " House of Cards" or "West Wing".
