I really enjoy this. I love watching the hunt. I love watching what they are going through to find this lost mystery. I love the documentary. I give this 10/10. You have to have a passion for things like this in order to give it a good rating. If you are a die hard for suspense and watching a hunt, then sure this is a great documentary. But if you are someone who rather just get it over and done with, then of course you're going to give it a bad review. IMO, 10 stars!

That being said,, this show has spawned a new drinking game:
Every time the announcer says "Could it be?" you take a drink.
Every time the announcer says "Rick and Marty Lagina" you take a drink.

Lets start out with, I loved the show...
I really did I watched every episode all the way to the end of Season 05 Episode 13. I could have watched the first episode, a middle episode and the last episode (S05E13) and I don't think I would have missed anything. I realize it's a treasure hunt and they could come up empty, but I think the fake hype and the "coming up after the break" and "just before the break" repeating over and over is killing the show. I don't want to rant, but fix the show or cancel it. I'm personally taking a break from it for now... I know I won't miss anything. :-)

Is wasting years, months, weeks, days and hours of my life in front of my TV expecting something, other than mountains of monotonous repetitious monologue (3Ms), to present itself, and receiving nothing but desperation and disenchantment; to which I now believe that Gary D (the "Metal Detective" of "Salting The Earth" with already discovered objects to which he pretends to find afresh. I just wonder if The Laginas are being used or are in on the scam . . . I will not be watching the series any longer !
