This mini series was an amazing addition to the culture. It bridged the gap of generations. I ended up watching after a snippet of them recording Can You Stand The Rain and I was intrigued. Luke James's voice is phenomenal and mirrored Johnny Gill's so well. The Littles were great also! Elijah Kelley is so talented as Ricky Bell and he told the hell out of the addiction story! Algee Smith was beyond believable as Ralph Tresvant and he embodied his style. (Noticed that during the You're Not My Kind of Girl mash up). Bryshere Gray did amazing as Mike Biv. Woody McClain had me excited to look into the life of Bobby Brown. For this to be his first role he slaughtered this! Keith Powers played smooth Big Ron DeVoe and the funniest part is he was so chill until night 3. To see all they went through and where they are it's amazing. Now New Edition consists of 17 members because they became family. The cast is so committed to each other and show black men in a light that makes them happy, fun, emotional, and loyal. BET & Jesse Collins did phenomenal. The best biopic since SOC

Kudos BET and the cast of this amazing biopic. I was so immersed during the entire series and fell in love with New Edition's Story. BET please keep doing these with other artists and groups. This was excellent! The cast was so believable playing all of the members of the group. The younger actors did so well in their portrayal of NE's beginnings and the older team took it to the next level. I also loved that most of the cast was new. I loved that all the NE members were on board during the entire project coaching everyone on how to depict their lives. I loved the candidness of the story and how the message was about the strong bond of friendship and loyalty no matter what the circumstances were. They always found a way to get back to NE and that's commendable.

With regard to expectations, this TV biopic of New Edition exceeded those and so much more. From night 1 to night 3, there was a sense that this could go on forever, or at least a few more nights. If you were a New Edition fan growing up or love black musical history, this miniseries was for you. I honestly think that BET could have stretched it out to a full 13-episode series (1hr) like the ones on Netflix. The production was great and the musical choices were awesome because it had the REAL music unlike some of these other TV biopics (*cough-cough LIFETIME). Also this was one of the most authentic biopics to date because BET was able to get the real characters that were involved. In short, watch this miniseries. You will NOT be disappointed. No spoilers here, just go watch the movie! 10/10

Excellent! BET hit it out of the park!!! I have watched it 4 times and I continue to be even more impressed! BET has renewed my faith in them to tell the story of our culture! I love New Edition anyway for the music and now I feel like I know them as individuals and I love them more for sharing their story. The fact that these guys are still around and performing is amazing. It is so wonderful to see entertainers honored while they are still alive. It just makes it so much better. I am eagerly waiting for a new album and I was thrilled when I watched them get their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame to hear Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis announce that they wanted to record a new album with the guys!!! This is going to be great!!Congratulations Rizz, Slick, Biv, Ron, JG and Bob, I love you all!!!!!!!!!!!! AND I must say, Rizz you are still my "Mack"....
