silverturquoise Wow! Trapped is totally riveting and amazing from the opening episode to the conclusion! Despite being in Icelandic with subtitles, the story carries amazingly well because of the clever storytelling and acting. All of the characters are fascinating, and the many intersecting storylines and plot twists kept me on the edge of my seat during every episode. The cinematography is not only beautiful but conveys even the smallest plot details. Standing ovation to everyone involved with this production. Can't wait for the second season, and please bring more Icelandic productions to world audiences.
belikerev-532-859651 I was browsing through amazon fire TV and Trapped showed up on my home page. After reading the description, I gave it a try because I like interesting crime drama (not all crime drama). Turned out to be a hidden gem. Perhaps because it is international, I hadn't heard of it at all and none of the people I know had seen it (told them about it later). I think the closest show I can think of to this is Fargo, which in itself is a great complement. It is perhaps not as outright entertaining as Fargo, but I found it more gripping for two reasons. First, it moves at a slower pace and the story doesn't really move too much (the whole show is based in one small town, there is little to no traveling). Second, there are no "villains" in the show unlike Fargo where each season has had a villainous figure (which kind of kills the realism but the villains are really well done). The thrill is quite real; it keeps you guessing until the final episode. I was on a day off from work due to illness and I ended up finishing the entire series in a day. It really is very well done. I encourage every body to give this a shot especially people who are into crime and mystery shows.
sunnylifed Grew to love the characters so much that I await the next season. Looking on this site, I was hoping to find the future plans. Found how popular this show is with the Icelanders. This show gives viewers a fairly realistic view of life on the island country. I lived on Kodiak Island for nearly a half year, summer into early fall. This show reminded me of one week I spent in isolation with 13K other people.
Yohi Badash Its been a really long time since i watched something so good, thrilling yet dramatic and so interesting! i can honestly say i enjoyed it so much that I'm definitely going to watch it once more. There is not a single bad word to say about this show. The acting was brilliant and so convincing, Specially Andrei who did an excellent job. Its easy to fall in love with that big bear officer.. In fact, all the cast was quite amazing and you get drawn into their lives and into the plot in a heartbeat. Once you start watching that show, you will not want to stop. I've just finished watching the whole season in 2 days because each episode ended with such suspense that i couldn't help but watching another one. And now that its over, i feel like a part of me is lost with it. I wish there was more. The location of the show and the weather, the whole Icelandic culture is felt greatly while watching the show, even though its summertime in Israel, i was actually feeling cold and had to cover up with a blanket during the storm scenes :) yes it is THAT good! Another thing i loved was the language, after watching this show, I've completely fallen in love with the Islandic language and the way people there live and i am considering a visit to Iceland thanks to that. so all in all, i highly recommend it. Brilliant acting, writing directing and scenery.
