amelielapointe I remember watching the first episode and being like "wow, I feel like I am actually IN the prison with her..." This show is brutal and raw. You will see everything, all the emotion, the pain, the sadness... The writers won't omit a detail. All of a sudden, you will probably feel as though you are in the same situation as the characters. And I won't lie, it can be a bit painful to watch. There are some scenes were the acting is just so good it makes you wanna cry! I must mention Ève Landry's work. It's just phenomenal : this girl has a natural gift. Her character, Jeanne, is a troubled yet very likable woman. You get attached once you see her real personality behind her "walls". I think this show is for everyone, because every person can see a bit of herself/himself in the characters. There have flaws, and that's what is so beautiful about them. This is what makes them resemble real people so much. This is why you feel as though you have known them for many years. If you are fluent in french and the accent doesn't bother you, you can definitely watch this show. I recommend it!
samara-gale Fantastic series; could not stop watching. I was literally glued to my screen for hours. Quebec and their fantastic writers, directors, actresses and actors have done an outstanding job Had no idea, even though I am a Canadian, that we had so many talented people in Quebec. Subtitles are of course a necessity as French is the language spoken. The odd scene which shows graphic sexual behaviour was nauseating, as was one of the characters who could only think about sex. So much so, that I have to wonder if the writer had "writers block" Apart from this one creepy woman all other characters were totally believable. (although sometimes gut wrenching) Having worked with Correctional Service of Canada it was especially interesting to me. I hope more of the same calibre of TV show is in the works
