Reviews

mueller-jens Sandmännchen is THE classic good night story for children up to 10 years in German TV. Originally invented in East Germany, it was soon also produced in the western part. Still today it is shown on different TV channels at 6:50 pm taking 10 minutes. The intro with the widely known music shows a sandman who comes to the children at night and spreads sand on their eyes. This is followed by a cartoon that changes from episode to episode, showing a small story, often with animals or children. At the end, a similar sequence as in the beginning is shown, the song ends with "I wish you a good night".All in all a nice "good night ritual" that facilitates to get your children to bed. The stories are OK, free of violence and well animated.
