This show is beloved across America, but mostly by old people and moms, or bored people who like simple puzzles. It isn't the worst show, but it really has dragged on for a long time. To me, shows like Jeopardy are more for the intellectual crowd(historians, scientists, linguists, teachers, doctors, writers, computer geeks, etc.) and WoF is for old ladies and people that like simple guessing games, with a lot of chance thrown in with the wheel. Basically, Jeopardy is chess, and WoF is checkers or Old Maid. I watch WoF only while awaiting Trebek to come on after it. Pat and Vanna really lucked up with this show, too, as they didn't seem to have any other major credentials. Pat did some radio broadcasting for the military during Vietnam, but not really known for much else. It is OK, but very mediocre.

This had got to be one of the best game show of all time and is certainly the most popular. I think the prizes have gotten better, and I love the recent addition of the "prize puzzles." Though I miss some of the old categories such as slang and megaword, the newer cateogories like fun & games and best seller work just as well. I have gotten very good at solving the puzzles at home, sometimes even immediately. I also miss some of their old prizes, such as the surprise and double play. I think this show will go down as a game show classic. Pat Sajak is a terrific host, and occasionally the show is good if only to see what Vanna White is wearing. They come up with very creative puzzles for the before & after category. I hope to appear on the show one day.*** 1/2 out of ****

I have been watching Wheel of Fortune since I was a toddler and I really used to love it. My grandparents were even addicted to that show, but they passed away last year. But that show has gotten worse as the years went by. I think they should get rid of the unnecessary "Prize Puzzle" and "Spin I.D" promotions. The bonus round also needs to go back to the W-H-E-E-L format, which they had until 2001. I don't really care for the new mini wheel used in the bonus round these days. Also, there is way too much screaming, too much hugging, and there are a lot of moronic contestants on WOF today. Fortunately, I still watch this show occasionally, but not too often. My rating: 6.5/10

I love wheel of fortune. It's arguably the best gameshow on TV and you have to have seen it at least once or twice. The game is played as follows; 3 people are standing at a wheel with various dollar values on wedges, and they have to solve a puzzle by guessing letters with every spin of the wheel. whoever guesses the puzzle at the end of the game, wins the cash they've accumulated throughout. Now for my 2 cents on the show. First off, I Love Vanna White. 56 years old and she outclasses just about any modern model, celebrity, singer, whatever. She'll be 70-something before she quits spinning letters. But for Pat Sajak, he's a totally lovable guy, but he really looks like he doesn't care anymore. He's been doing the show for 30+ years, But now he just looks bored. But if Pat Sajak goes, Vanna would get lonely and eventually quit too.Bottom line, I suggest you watch Wheel of fortune, If you like watching people play hangman for cash, you won't be disappointed.
