We watched this because it had Nicolas Cage and was listed as "inspired by true events".
Well...it has to be one of the worst films I have watched in a long time and I've watched a few turkeys! The acting was really bad, there was no chemistry between any of the actors. The shootout was done badly, I mean why send your Swat team to an explosion and your normal beat cops to a 211 in progress?? Just doesn't make sense If you really want to watch what the movie was "inspired" by, then watch 44 Minutes, based on the North Hollywood shootout from the 90'sWe did watch to the end, just out of curiousity

Granted that I had little expectations for "211" from writer and director York Alec Shackleton when I sat down to watch it. Why? Well, solely because this was just screaming to be another Nicolas Cage movie. So was it? Both yes and no. Yes, in the sense that he trotted on with his usual stumped performance with just a single grimace throughout the entire movie. No, because the storyline sort of veered from the usual stuff that he participates in.Was it a good movie? Nah, it was adequate, albeit quite generic. The storyline had its moments, not many, but it had them. But for a bank heist movie, then it offered very little to the cinematic experience that haven't already been seen in other bank heist movies. The dialogue in the movie was good, and the characters were good, which definitely worked in favor of the movie. However, some of the things that the bank robbers were doing just made so little sense, especially since they were supposed to be highly trained military people. All in all, an adequately entertaining movie that will suffice if you have nothing more pressing on the to-watch-list. But this is hardly a movie that you will be returning to watch a second time around.

1. Too much drama when mike's partner "just" get shot on his leg
2. Interpol woman say "you have no idea what these man (the robber) can do" in fact they just go around like stupid in the end.

I really enjoy watching Nic Cage movies. This one was really difficult to get through, mainly because of the terrible acting. Nic Cage doesn't have his first line until the 20 minute mark, but before this, there's 25-30 cringe-worthy badly acted lines, that are reminiscent of really bad amateur porn. Even if you enjoy Nic Cage, this one's hard to get through.
