leesaenz In all honesty, let me start by saying several of my guests looked on in disgust and concern while asking me to stop this movie. It really was that bad. Even though some of the cast has found minor success on the catastrophe known as cable television, there is absolutely no excuse for this movie being made. However much money was squandered making this terrible, terrible film, could have been spent on whiskey and prostitutes. This movie is like the holocaust in that somebody should have done something to stop it only nobody did. First of all, despite having used the same cameras that shot Steven Soderbergh's "Che", which was a masterpiece and pioneer of independent film making - this movie looks like something shot on a camcorder from the eighties. The characters and dialog were positively too cheesy not to shave off an I.Q. point or two. Unless you mistake it for one of those Adult Swim-type, "It's so bad it must be on purpose"-style comedies. I'll end by saying that on a positive note, this movie could possibly be used in the future to show aspiring film makers how not to make movies.
skipstrip Simple words and phrases are how I describe this film. No Fat and Crap that is what today's theaters are full of so much. The best and worst of the film are clearly seen throughout. The thing that the film lacked was a Director. Looked him up and found that he was not up for this script. With an average Director, this could have been at the theaters. Now the good stuff: : The camera work, lighting, angles were good and it has a dark flavor that fits the film. : The Lukas character was someone that grew on you as the story goes along. The big thug killer was good and as advertised. The guy looked big and mean. : The Make-up was a little better than good and it was like a real experienceThe Really good stuff: : The girlfriends and side kicks of the main characters were really good. The cops had ups and downs with scenes but if you buy the concept then : The medical guy was really good and almost a comic relief. : Locations were nice in that you moved into each location with ease and you were interested in each one of them. The Great stuff: : Almost all of the leads were great in their roles. : The script was great and could actually have a sequel. ( I would like to see one ) : Music was great and fit the show in a great way. Unheard of artists and the title song was cool. The Best stuff: : Cowboy Jack ( If you have not seen the film, see it for this guy )All in allCreative Fun Exciting New Fresh Different
Bredden34 In 2 words Cowboy Jack The film is well written and shot. The film lacks direction. The acting is hit and miss but the ones that hit really crush it. (Charles Wesley, Michelle Stafford, Patrick Adams) It seems that in the world of STUDIO FILMS that one does tend to miss a gem and 3 Days Gone is a gem. Locations were really good and the Production Value is as good as I have seen for this type of genre. Cowboy Jack Take the extra few quid that might fill your pockets and but this film and you will come back to this review and thank me. TRAFFIC and TRUE ROMANCE are the 2 films that come to mind but it seems to be more complex than both of those films. I had to watch it twice in that I figure out the endings usually at the half-way point in almost every film that I watch. Cowboy Jack And in case you are wondering about Cowboy Jack, he seems to find the Umphhh in Cheeky. Gary Oldman has this in TRUE ROMANCE and many other roles. This Charles Wesley probably has to be a STAR that has not shown it's light or he must be Cowboy Jack in person. Regardless, I want one for Christmas!
lil_zaien Saw this movie by chance on Amazon. I had seen the ads for this movie over the weekend and decided to check it out. I was not disappointed. It was a breath of fresh air in the action genre when all you see nowadays are sequels and uninspired movies. Man am I glad to see Charles Wesley back to work as it has been far to long for him to be out of movies. He is quite possible this generation of actors most underrated stars. Anybody that has seen a movie with I'm in it will agree that his acting skill is underrated. Now on to the movie... From the beginning action sequence (which ends in cop-dog convo) to the end when you see the everybody getting away without anybody ever really knowing their true identities, you will be impressed with the direction this movie has taken. I can easily say that this movie is of the same caliber as "All Saints Day" which is at theaters now.
