turtleracer Definitely one of the best videos to come out of promotion for the band. If it's a greatest hit, it's on this video. Highly recommended! Videos include, (not in order): From PERMANENT VACATION:Dude Looks Like A Lady Angel Rag Doll From PUMP: Love in an Elevator Janie's Got a Gun What it Takes The Other Side From GET A GRIP: Eat the Rich Living on the Edge Cryin' Amazing Crazy From BIG ONES:Walk on Water Blind Man Deuces Are WildIf many of these happen to be your favorite Aerosmith tunes, then this is the video for you. It's awesome. Sit back, relax and look. :-D
harddie44 There was a time when Aerosmith was hungry and kicked major butt! Their Permanent Vacation, Pump and Get a Grip albums were all a reflection of that. Now that Alicia Silverstone is all grown up, they are relying on not so original videos to feed their fans. C'mon guys, get high again and get back to the system that works!
David (DMP-2) The best music video collection Aerosmith has made. I especially enjoyed the addition of clips from their episode on "The Simpsons". They should have thrown some clips from Saturday Night Live, their performance of "PLAY ON" was excellent. The only problem I have with this video is that they left out the music videos from the album DONE WITH MIRRORS (1985). It would have been great to see the "Let Music Do The Talking", "The Hop" videos, I also think there was a 3rd video. They also forgot to add videos from ROCK IN A HARD PLACE (their best album of the 80's, just bearly beating PUMP (1989). That album had three videos ("Lightning Strikes", "Bitch's Brew", and "Bolivian Ragamuffin") from the album and a late production "Sweet Emotion" which was from their #2 album of the 70's and in general TOYS IN THE ATTIC (1975). They probably skipped it because all of their albums prior to 1985 were Columbia releases and everything afterwards was a Geffen release. There was also a "Walk This Way" video made in 1986 with RUN-DMC that should have been here too. I also heard of planned production (In 1986)of "Dream On" (From AEROSMITH (1973) and "No Surprize" (From NIGHT IN THE RUTS (a.k.a Right In The *uts)(1979) videos. Still its a great video, its just needs a sequel to put these videos in.
aerodude3 This one consists of several behind the scenes and interviews mixed in with the videos or at least a clip of the videos from all the songs on Big Ones--all that is except for the hard to find Blind Man and Walk on Water videos. Deuces are Wild didn't have a video, either, so I believe 12 videos show up on here in one form or another. Check it out. Songs on the tape, then, are Love In an Elevator, Rag Doll, Dude (Looks Like a Lady), What It Takes (Recording of), Janie's Got a Gun, Cryin', Amazing, Crazy, The Other Side, Livin' on the Edge, Angel, Eat the Rich (Non video, but behind the scenes on there). Other Aerosmith videos out there: Big Ones you can look at is the best, then something like Video Scrapbook, Texxas Jam '78 (good set list), then Things that Go pump in the night, then Making of Pump, then Permanent Vacation 3x5. That's my ranking for the Aerosmith videos, anyway. Of course, I love them all, but I'm just looking at for potential fans who naturally want to start with the best videos. Rock on!
